I played the demo of it in Smyths and didn't like it. And the extra speed boost would kick in on an analogue stick. I didn't find holding the button any better, it's adding something completely unnecessary. I have wondered if we've got 3D Land to thankblame for this because 3D World used its mechanics and the circle pad lacks the accuracy, range and sensitivity of an analogue stick, so that's why it carried over.

Why do you need to hold a button to run? Analogue sticks removed that back on the N64 so why regress? No I don't own the game, don't like the iometric, fixed camera. I'm still waiting for a successor to Galaxy, not necessarily Galaxy but the next evolution. Sonic Racing Transformed did some things better than MK8. I liked the separate screens best and wished it was in MK8. I hate split screen. MK8 is fine on 150cc. But that's how he was originally. Regarding the DS game, Microsoft didn't mind that so much as they weren't in that market and took a slice of the sales. Probably didn't care about the other characters besides Banjo and Conker because they're not from an existing franchise. But who owns the rights to them? I'd say Rare(Microsoft).

In a way they're doing that anyway by producing such limited quantities of some of the amiibo that they created a black market where some are more valuable than others.

I don't get it either. How come all amiibo are the same price too? Kirby would be a doddle to make compared to some of the other more intricate characters like Robin. I don't follow at all but I thought the Infinity and Skylanders have different price ranges.

If Nintendo do launch a new home console next year, I expect Nintendo to compensate and reward us loyal Wii U owners. How they'd expect us to buy into a new console will be very difficult even if they do give us something like an ambassador programme. Just 3 years on the market by then, sparse quality releases, practically no 3rd party support, online not matching the competition, etc. I've said it before that I 90% most likely won't buy their next console at launch which will be a first. It will require something truly special to knock my socks off for it to be a day 1 purchase. I've had my fingers burnt too many times and I won't believe a single word from Iwata or especially Reggie. I'll probably wait a while to see how things are panning out. And if they keep the specs secret again like they did with the Wii and Wii U right up to launch I'll know that's a bad sign and may just give up on next gen gaming.

People would have said the same thing about Link and yet there he is and it doesn't bother me. Kav was right that they should fix Battle Mode before worrying about anything else. Also, if they were to make a new Diddy Kong Racing would they have to make an entire new lineup of characters? Do Rare own the rights to all the characters other than Diddy Kong and the Kremling?
