  1. I was wondering regarding the BBC iPlayer and how it's only for UK residents only. Would it be possible to use it here in Ireland if I create a Mii and put my country of residence as the UK? Similar to how the loophole worked with creating a Russian Mii for the eShop and getting discounts. Or is there any other work around?
  2. Spoiler tags people please! Supposed leak from the forthcoming Prima Guide of the upcoming DLC weapons.
  3. The Americans really did get a bad deal on the price($60). If I had of had to pay €50-55, I'd have waited until later to buy it especially after the last Splatoon Direct.
  4. So Europe was left out of this one. http://www.perfectly-nintendo.com/splatoon-available-for-pre-purchase-in-japan-and-north-america-special-offer-jp-bundles-uk/ Another little site mini crash just there again. It's strange that Splatoon was not given an option for pre-loading in Europe when other games before it had it.
  5. Have we not got pre loading yet? I wouldn't know, I never buy retail games digitally so it doesn't affect me. I thought Smash Bros. was the first game to have this feature. The site is struggling a bit today. Takes an age to edit a post and it's mini crashed for 30 seconds a couple of times on me today.
  6. New Yoshi's Woolly World screenshots.
  7. No, I've not played it. I've watched a good lot of previews and videos. It looks very good but I'm swamped with games so I'll leave it for now. That Humble Nindie Bundle has also thrown me a bit. I've bought nearly every game on it but only finished Steam World Dig on it. If it does come to Europe I could have saved a lot of money by waiting and if it does come I'd like to see what gets included as part of the promotion. I don't think people really care about the charts. Besides you can check them easily from the eShop on the Wii U. They never give numbers. It's strange Splatoon is included on the American chart but not the European one.
  8. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2015/05/bbc_iplayer_finally_arrives_on_the_wii_u_eshop
  9. 20 challenges for each amiibo, mini games, weapons and gear.
  10. I don't ever ever post the Wii U eShop charts but I was interested to see how Swords & Soldiers II would do because of its price tag of €19. 1. Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition 2. The Fall 3. SteamWorld Dig 4. Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones 5. OlliOlli 6. Paper Mario 7. Super Mario 64 8. Splatoon 9. Donkey Kong 64 10. New Super Mario Bros. 11. Super Mario World 12. DuckTales Remastered 13. EarthBound 14. Super Mario Bros. 3 15. Mario Party 10 16. Super Metroid 17. Donkey Kong Country 18. Super Mario Bros. 19. Zelda: A Link to the Past 20. Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara That's the American chart and it's nowhere to be seen. The European chart isn't much better. It's at no.18. It couldn't be more prominent on the eShop, it's the first thing you see. The first Sword & Soldiers is €3 by comparison.
  11. Another Splatoon x Musume illustration.
  12. This self censorship stems from a long, long time ago. There was a time I got a warning for swearing. It wasn't directed at anyone but ever since I substitute these in * $ 1 # @ 0 € instead. I've never forgotten that PM. The infraction was minor but I contested it which I've learnt is futile. The infraction wasn't from you but I did have correspondence with you privately regarding the matter. I said others do it and nothing happens, it was an absolutely ridiculous warning and still maintain so. This is part of what you wrote in a PM and I quote: "13) Swearing, and use of slurs about race or sexual orientation are prohibited. Slanderous, defamatory, obscene, indecent, lewd, pornographic, abusive, insulting, threatening, harassing or obnoxious comments and/or images are not tolerated, nor is making light of serious issues such as rape." I've a very long memory and ever since then I censor my swearing. The very fact that you're telling me not to censor and almost encouraging me to swear proves it was wrong that I got that warning in the first place. : peace:
  13. Just for that, Leicester will be relegated next season. Funny now? Besides I haven't been the worst about voice chat. There are others that won't buy Splatoon partially because of its omission.
  14. I mentioned the hard powering down on Saturday night during the Testfire Demo. Had to do it several times during the first hour when it just kept endlessly searching for players. It's something that wouldn't be hard to patch in a fix for. It's very strange that something so simple and necessary slipped through the net.
  15. A little late but here's the UK sales charts. Individual Formats All Formats Kirby is clinging on in 40th place. I expect it'll be gone next week. There's only 2 Nintendo titles in the top 40. It will be interesting to see how high up Splatoon places next week. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ This weeks Japanese software and hardware sales charts. 16. I had to get the game one way or another by Friday. Sorry folks. Nah, but it was probably an inkside job. If they're smart they'll just sell the game and amiibo separately. Could even make more money that way. The Inkling Squid amiibo would make a tidy sum on Ebay.
  17. Splatoon - Video Review (Wii U) They don't do scores but "loved" it. Single player is fun though a bit short and the multiplayer is the best yet on the Wii U, runs near flawlessly at 60 fps. In short, one of their favourite Wii U games.
  18. Here we go! Let the floodgates open!
  19. I told you before, I wouldn't use them. They've nothing to do with gaming. They don't offer any benefit. Have them as collectible figurines, no problem. But keep them away from games. Kids love action figures, who didn't growing up? That's what most of these companies are preying on. Yes there is the older market that like them as collectibles but I don't think ye are their biggest demographic. They're a link by proxy but do actually nothing that the software and machine can't perform without them. They're an artificial tie-in.
  20. @dazzybee It's a bit of both. amiibo have got worse. It was different using the Smash characters to unlock a Mii costume in MK8. Now a lot of the games are getting their own waves of amiibo, e.g. Mario Party 10, Splatoon and Yoshi's Woolly World. They haven't sorted out the old stock and yet they're flinging new amiibo off the conveyor belt. Splatoon amiibo unlocks the characters, 20 challenges each, mini games, weapons, gear. All on disc paywalled content may I remind you. Mario Party 10 has a mode that's completely unusable without amiibo. There was an article that I posted before that explains it better than I can. I'll try to find it.
  21. Nope. The cheapest is €50 for the game. Thegamecollection was ~€35. They should factor in the extra time for delivery. If a game doesn't arrive Friday, it's an extra 3 day wait. 4 days this weekend because of the bank holiday. Do ye get post on Saturday? We don't.
  22. Don't forget the extra weapons and gear that they unlock.
  23. C'mon now. Do you really think it just arrived in their warehouse this morning? Strange, most other places don't have that problem. And as I've been finding out, it's common practise for thegamecollection to do this. They know it takes longer to ship overseas so it should be posted earlier.
  24. I got my despatched confirmation e-mail from thegamecollection. The race is on to get it here by Friday.(It won't happen)
