    Yooka-Laylee Interview with Playtonic Games (E3 2015)

  3. I paid €35 for it new a few months ago for a physical copy so paying the same price for a digital copy doesn't seem great. To each their own but the advantages of physical far exceed digital to me. Although I can't sell on or swap my DLC.
  4. £28. Not a terrific price.
  5. They made sure to show off plenty of amiibo yesterday. There was nearly 20 new amiibo. Who needs games from a video game company when you can get scalped buying toys instead? Glad they have their priorities right.
  6. True. Both Yoshi and XCX were announced in January 2013. So 2 and 1/2 year wait for Yoshi and nearly 3 years for XCX. I'm fine with that, at least we knew they were coming. We've have nothing like that announced for Wii U in the future since then because there is nothing. Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem could be in development nearly 4 years from its first announcement to its release here.
  7. Didn't Nintendo expand their workforce? And yet we're facing into a similar situation as the Wii. [TWEET]610885268615225344[/TWEET] They keep saying that they're learning from their mistakes but they're like the boy who cried wolf at this stage. What lessons are they learning exactly?
  8. The fact that it's a day after its E3 reveal and nobody created a thread for it is quite damning. Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival The new Animal Crossing Amiibo line-up. Nintendo has announced a new Animal Crossing game for Wii U! But wait - it's called Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival. It's a strange mix of Mario Party, the board game mode in Smash Bros. for Wii U and Animal Crossing characters. It's due out "holiday 2015". Amiibo Festival also works with the Animal Crossing amiibo that were spotted online a couple of days ago. Fan-favourite characters such as Tom Nook, Isabelle, Mable and KK Slider will be available to buy in Amiibo form to use in the game. Plenty of familiar Animal Crossing inhabitants show up in digital form, too - such as Joan, the boar who sells you turnips - as you travel round a game board and activate little scenarios involving the characters.

  10. Should have realised it was going to be bad when we seen the 3 muppets at the start. Some of it was admittedly funny though. The rest of the show was not. I look forward to this event all year and it was a horror show yesterday. I've said very little in this discussion but I'm hugely disappointed, dismayed, appalled. Strangely enough I'm not angry though I initially was(though it may return). It's almost like it's par for the course these days. Nintendo have major problems. Selling the NX to the competition console owners, 3rd parties, casuals and burnt Wii U owners is going to be a big ask. If the hardware isn't right I dread the decisions they'll potentially have to make if it fails. They control their own destiny(for now), they just have to make the correct choices.
  11. Nintendo on Super Mario Maker: "Make your own game because we can't be bothered". It does look better than it initially did. The NWC footage looked great but was that enhanced because of the competitive element and the crowd getting involved? I don't know if I'll have the patience or skill to create these kind of levels. Remember for the Treehouse guys it's there job. Will it take an hour to create a level that can be finished in a minute? Will it just disappear into a blackhole like a post in Miiverse with just the very top getting noticed?
  12. Probably because of the mature content. The same reason Devil's Third was shown in a separate trailer also last week.

  14. Just seen and accepted your friend request. Got up to level 6 in about an hour. I'll go back online in maybe half an hour.

    Star Fox Zero

Online, right now is not a consideration. “So, we’re really prioritising getting this new game playing at 60 frames-per-second. In previous Star Fox games we had focused a lot on dogfighting, but here we’re really focused more the single-player experience. “Of course, as we continue on and once people get a feeling for the game… as the process continues if we find that we do think it’d be really good we’ll definitely consider it, but right now we’re not.” - Shigeru Miyamoto.
  16. That was their way of stringing us along. It was more a muppet show than a puppet show.
  17. I'm going online at 7:30 PM to play some Splatoon and forget about that appalling E3 Direct. If anyone fancies playing, give me a shout.
  18. Remember this day. The day Wii U died. 16th June. Time of death ~ 5.00p.m. 2 and a half years. How are they going to convince people to buy the NX? People are wary of Nintendo consoles now. The burnt Wii U owners are going to be reluctant too. I certainly will be. They never even tried.
  19. You cannot be cereal! Wii U - Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash E3 2015 Trailer It'll be out in time for Christmas this year.
  20. I won't be watching Treehouse this year. What's the point? I'm genuinely shocked, I set the bar low but honestly I never expected that, it's enough to nearly make you cry.
  21. We have a new contender for WORST E3 EVER!!!
  22. F*ck! I feared this was coming. I was only interested in golf not tennis. I said earlier. F*CK OFF amiibo!
  23. That's what's worrying. 40 minutes in and I'm still waiting for a new interesting Wii U game.
  24. Well at least they're not in a wool shop this time. Nintendo what the f*ck have you done? This is an absolute embarrassment.
