  1. Half way through and other than Nintendo doing videos for Mario Maker and Code name Steam not one of the games shown is on a Nintendo platform. How did Heartstone win mobile game of the year?
  2. Mario Kart 8 won best sports/racing game of the year.
  3. Nintendo won developer of the year and best fighting game of the year. Another World Premiere, Codename Steam. Yawn! Geoff Keighley has dropped a hint that the end of the show will be good. He also said that nobody needs to be cranky while talking to Reggie.
  4. World Premiere - Mario Maker!
  5. He did. A stink bomb. Mario Maker? Pass. Hopefully there'll be something better shown later. The reaction from the crowd to Mario Maker compared to MGS 5 was night and day.
  6. Devil’s Third receives MA 15+ rating in Australia http://www.classification.gov.au/Pages/View.aspx?sid=NS42ZdBvFZ8A1xyUJNWtrA%253d%253d&ncdctx=hij%2b0sEKEWboB9Uj40JP5MfM0TEqXSOxlGDbpSSE4R%252fDzBotRnYDV3VgJ806VULL I've a feeling this is going to be shown in the next couple of hours at The Game Awards Show.
  7. Every Super Smash Bros. "Pic of the Day" from June 11, 2013 to December 5, 2014
  8. The last line didn't escape me. "Thanks for playing and make sure to spread the word!" Translation, "we're too stingy to spend money on advertising so you do it for us instead." They didn't even say please. I still wouldn't recommend family or friends to pick up a Wii U despite the smattering of great titles so far. Anyway, regarding tonights The Game Awards, Tim O'Leary from Nintendo had the following tweet regarding it: [tweet]540995374630981632[/tweet] What's up with the site? It keeps having fart attacks. You can watch The Game Awards Show live here: It starts at 2 a.m. UK time. I heard this old codger tried to sneak into the show but was told he's barred after the sh1t storm of disappointment he caused last year.
  9. Much like the Gamecube controller adapter fiasco, it's a combination of stock and demand but more likely down to limited stock. I know a lot of shops that only got 1 amiibo of each character and in some places didn't have any at all. Maybe that's their plan to drive demand before making a second delivery in time for Christmas. In the meantime some of the retailers have gotten greedy. Why do people continue to give GAME money when they habitually act as they do ripping off customers?
  10. I've been reading the horror stories about the cancelled Smash bundles and I'd be gutted if it happened to me. No gutted is the wrong word, I'd be fuming. What's worse is now a lot of places have hiked the prices up, even amiibo. So even if they do find it, they'll most likely be paying way more. The game alone where I bought it has gone up by €5. The adapter was overpriced much like other Nintendo hardware to begin with. I too won't be buying Nintendo's next console at launch, got burned way too badly and I'm going to see how things pan out first, not listen to their lies. I think it's too late for some people, they won't be coming back and you're right, it is a dwindling fanbase. And this will be my first time not buying their console at launch. My patience has run out with Nintendo.
  11. http://mynintendonews.com/2014/12/05/nintendo-seems-to-be-planning-something-for-the-game-awards-as-theyve-started-a-youtube-playlist/ I wouldn't be surprised if there was something. I don't think the holiday season has been going the way they had planned with the Wii U and something good revealed here might help drum up some further interest. I hope they reveal something good and not a Kranky Kong equivalent of last year. Edit: My prediction is Devils Third. It would fit the audience well, it needs some hype, there's been recent talk about it and it needs to show its new makeover. Besides it could be out before E3.
  12. These filthy spammers always seem to come out in the early hours and there's another new member registering at the minute and you can be sure they'll be posting spam as well. There should be some rules before new members can create a thread. Like 50 post minimum and be registered for at least a week.
  13. Japan - Another Smash Bros. Wii U TV commercial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3QwcwSZpKs ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Pic of the day. Tomorrow, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will be released in Japan! The players in Japan had to wait a bit longer for their release, but then again, they did get the 3DS version first. We were glad to be able to release this game in the Americas just in time for Thanksgiving in the United States. Pic of the day has continued since E3 2013, and I would like to bring this series to a close today. A total of 384 posts and roughly 500 screenshots have been posted, and there's even more screenshots if you count the ones I've posted for different regions. The origins of pic of the day was sharing one picture a day of the game in development inside the company. It started out just as a small bonus for the staff. However, once we started sharing pictures with the public, it was a much tougher process. We had to be more careful to choose appropriate pictures to post while keeping a consistant schedule regardless of how busy we got, all while some people only wanted new information from my posts. It's nice to finally be able to get one weight off of my shoulders. But, we promised to create Mewtwo as a playable character, so I can't relax too much yet. I hope you'll look forward to Mewtwo joining the battle! ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Even though the game is out now and I have it at long last, I'm still going to miss POTD.

  16. [TWEET]540613748843479040[/TWEET] For an indie game, that's very impressive. That number includes Wii U, 3DS and PC. They've got to be happy with those numbers and they'll get more sales yet. Back in August Yacht Club Games announced that it amassed 180,000 sales in its first month. The recent European release would have helped gve that total a healthy bump.

  18. I'm hearing rumours that this has been cancelled. It's only a rumour as of now but it's not outside the bounds of possibility. IGN are supposedly going to confirm it tomorrow. Nothing has been heard of this game since it's original announcement. There's been no screens or videos and it has no release date for next year. There's no news whatsoever about it. It's a bit of a phantom at this stage. We've heard more about Sadness in the time since than we have of SMTxFE. Like I said, take it with a grain of salt at this point. Found this: http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2014/12/rumour_has_shin_megami_tensei_x_fire_emblem_been_cancelled 4chan? Now we can take it with a mountain of salt. At least we only have to wait until tomorrow to find out if it's BS. But at the same time they're rather specific about details and their bluff can be called within a day so why make it up?
  19. That is a great feature. Unfortunately it's only done in a few games like Sonic Racing Transformed and Black Ops II. As far as I'm aware other than Nintendo Land in some of the various minigames, no other 1st party game has this feature. Mario Kart 8 would have been brilliant with it instead of the hideous looking vertical split screen 2 player mode we have.
  20. The spike was the Christmas period last year. As of October and Nintendo's quarterly results, the Wii U had sold 7.3 million. If we're optimistic that number might be hovering around the 8 million mark. No I'd say it's more likely 7.5 million sold. It's sold 3 million in the U.S. so the rest is 2.5 million sold in Europe and other territories.
  21. Pic of the day. To train your amiibo, it's important to give them hands-on time in battles. If you play against your amiibo with the same character, you can act as its teacher and help them learn moves easier. That said, it's also important to "feed" your amiibo equipment so you can make them stronger and give them special abilities. The effects in red show when a special ability will have a negative impact, but this is not necessarily a bad thing since the equipment might raise your amiibo's overall stats. It's also important to note that there's a limit on how much you can level an amiibo no matter how much you keep feeding it. However, you can change their balance of attack, defense, and speed.
  22. Just 1 episode left now. All good things must come to an end unfortunately.
