If Nintendo have no plans to use it for future games or patch it into existing retail and VC games it may well be true. What's up with the site? I keep getting "500.shtml" errors.

There are a few 3rd party games that are the definitive versions and worth getting on Wii U. Rayman Legends and Need For Speed Most Wanted. Zombi U has been mentioned but also there's Lego City Undercover which is an exclusive. Wii U is the only place to play Earthbound this side of the pond. And there's other VC greats like The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. You need Bayonetta 2(buy the Special Edition) and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is great by all accounts. And welcome to the Wii U club.

If it is say only a quarter of the map then happy days, the bigger the better. Maybe you need to scroll across to see the rest of the map and if it is bigger then it's on a scale never seen before in a Zelda game. It already is. They have a mammoth task of making sure the world doesn't feel empty. I would have thought the fully zoomed out map would show the whole world.

I think that's the whole world. The map zoomed out as far as it could go. It's ∞ bigger than Skyward Sword. I wonder if Monolith Soft are helping with this game, I bet they are.

It would be good if Treasure are working on Starfox. You wouldn't think Skyward Sword was in development for any length. I think they banged it together, threw it out the door and kept the good ideas for the next home Zelda. Only they weren't expecting Wii U to perform so badly. There has to be an explanation why SS is so bad. Nearly everything was bad about it right down to the minigames, they're the worst of all the 3D home console games.

You should tell that to all the companies at the show that announced new games but skipped Wii U. It was on for 3 hours, I watched every minute of it. As a Nintendo only owner I'm quite ignorant and oblivious to a lot of what is on the other consoles. Probably for the best, you can't miss what you don't know about. There were games there that I'd love to see on Wii U. And it's not just the new games, I'm a big South Park fan. No Stick Of Truth for us. No anything. Even the games that were up for this years awards, how many of them were 3rd party and on a Nintendo platform? The only one that springs to mind is Bravely Default for 3DS. While Zelda was great, the other 2 games were snore fests and got little reaction from the crowd. Nothing new was announced for Nintendo platforms.

They took their time with Twilight Princess and it was a great game. Skyward Sword was a rush job and it shows, that's why it stinks. Nintendo didn't care enough or try hard enough at that point with the Wii dying. This site is still having fart attacks this morning.

I know that and that's why I hope we get direct footage of that trailer. If you'd read my earlier comments here and in the general discussion you would have seen that. We're missing the clarity of the E3 trailer.

It is rather quick seeing as it was a prototype at E3 and had no developer.

It does look a bit lifeless alright and some of the textures especially the rocks don't look great. I'm sure it'll be fine when it's finished. I don't think or at least I hope it won't be an empty world. They surely are aware that that was a common complaint about Twilight Princess. I don't see a castle on the map or where it's likely to be. You'd imagine it would be central. Maybe there isn't one.

Yes they won some awards which was good, that Zelda trailer saved them from a bad showing. It was worth staying up for alone. Of all the games over the 3 hours, not one of them is coming to Wii U and that included indie games. And they weren't all next generation games either. Steam got plenty of plugs with loads of games on sale with 66% off. Nintendo had to rely on themselves to show 3 games in the show. Gonna examine that trailer in detail now.

Some details regarding the game from the new trailer. – First gameplay – Can use the GamePad to look around in first-person – Map on the GamePad – Can mark points on the map – Sailcloth is in the game – Epona is back – Swing sword on Epona, shoot arrows - Epona's movement is partially automated, doesn't run into trees – Insects and animal life - You can pick and eat apples from the trees - Arrows make a metallic sound when you hit enemies sweet spot - The world is absolutely huge - At one point Link is atop a mountain, picks a point on the map way off in the distance to go to, floats down part of the way using the sail float before mounting Epona and travels a bit and Aunoma says they're still about 5 minutes from their target – Can volt off the horse, jump and shoot and arrow – This happens in slow motion so it’s easier to aim – Aonuma says the game will be released next year I hope we get direct footage of that video because it's hard to make things out clearly. A couple of more things I noticed. - From the map, Link, I don't think we're in Hyrule anymore. - The time of day is on the gamepad. - The bottom right icon I think is to switch to inventory. - Judging by the distance marked on the map from Link to that tower it's a fair distance and even when they've travelled a bit they were still about 5 minutes away on horseback. So if you compare that to the lake to the West it's roughly the same length. How will Link get around that quickly? There's a lot of water with much of it interconnected. Maybe there'll be some kind of sailing. - There's a magic meter. - The enemies he hits with the arrows look similar to bokoblins.

ZELDA!!!!! It looks really nice and colossally big. Confirmed for next year. I hope they release that trailer as a direct feed. Starfox is next year too and will be out before Zelda.

Geoff keeps going on about the end of the show and that we're going to love it. Shame Bayonetta 2 didn't win game of the year, it takes nothing away from it and just being nominated it brilliant.

Now I think it could be a new Zelda Wii U trailer, after what the voiceover guy on the show said.
