  1. Righto, @S\.C\.G, I've opened a room. Once you've joined, your friends should be able to join you via the Friend List menu in game. But just in case they can't, the Hub ID is 67-4310-7854-4402.
  2. Glad to see you figured it out. It was a good Battle! Well done! When you requested the battle, I did think "Joe? Who the hell is Joe?" Took me a while to remember who it was. You're not the first person who's used Stealth Rock on me. That move can do with a right nerfing, whose stupid idea was it to have it take typing into account? It is a little annoying that you can't request a Battle unless both people are in the Festival Plaza though.
  3. Because the cover legendary has to be caught in order to progress the story. This has been a thing ever since B/W made it mandatory to get whatever is on the cover. Seeing as you can't breed Legendaries and you're always guaranteed three 31 IV'S. You're not losing much by bottle capping the rest. The only real thing that gets affected is Hidden Power. And I get the feeling Lunala has plenty of better moves. I suppose it's completely possible that Hyper Training will get dropped in future games though... Anyway, with Red spanked and me waiting until Bank gets updated to get my actual good Pokemon, I've started catching Gen 7 and Alolan Pokemon to start filling up my Dex. Haven't bothered with Legendaries yet until I figure what natures I want to go for. If anyone fancies a battle against my play through team, let me know before 7pm tonight, because I'll be playing MonHun then.
  4. Oh, you know I can't resist helping some other peeps kill monsters ridiculously quick! No problem, see you at 7! Should I start the room as usual? Or will you do it? I was thinking it'd be simpler if I do it, just remember that the passcode is 4444 and they'll need to put that in to join. Wouldn't want any randoms nicking the spits.
  5. There's one more for King Knight, then that's it.
  6. It's not a clear cut choice. Both have advantages over the other. They both run exactly the same, both look great thanks to the art style. Both have cool amiibo support. The 3DS version has obvious portability, the streetpass feature is certainly unique and the 3D is really potent. Item switching via the touch screen keeps you from having to pause the game as well. The WiiU version has a cool co-op mode (Amiibo only though), an upcoming local 4-player Battle mode, and obvious bigger screens. If you're not bothered by the local multiplayer features and would just end up playing the game through off-TV play, you'd probably be better off getting the 3DS version. Oh, stop exaggerating. Yacht Club have said that they've been doing the last two campaigns together, so it won't be as long a wait as in between Shovel Knight and Plague Knight. Just enjoy what's coming, this one seems to be even more different to Shovel Knight then Plague of Shadows.
  7. Right, @S\.C\.G you up for the weekly hunt? Just let me know when you're up for it. I promise this time I'll be there on time. ...possibly... ...maybe... ...perhaps...
  8. Sounds exciting! Can't wait to see what nonsense Specter can pull off after seeing the ridiculous manoeuvres Plague Knight could do!
  9. The first Global Mission is up, BTW. You need an account on the Pokemon-Global Link website and Game Sync your game to it. Gotta catch 100,000,000 Pokemon. And something tells me the world doesn't have a hope in hell. You'd think the one thing we can count on those Pokemon GO players to do is catch millions of the same Pokemon over and over again.
  10. Well, I do like Chameleons, sneaking is kinda their thing. But she doesn't even play a big role in some games. In fact, she's only mentioned once in Link's Awakening. Like I said before, that's the case in some of the games. But I wouldn't say that's the case in all of the games. I'd argue that the goal is more often to "Defeat whoever is doing all the evil this time" Zelda just happens to have that same goal most of the time. Which is why I'd love her to take a cue from Hyrule Warriors Zelda and get stuck in the way Link does, as a playable character.
  11. To be fair, Zelda's never really been much of a Damsel in Distress. Don't get me wrong, she's had her moments. But outside of the first three games, she adopts a more action focus. OoT has her pulling a tactical retreat, disguising herself and aiding Link from the sides. I don't need to mention what role she plays in Wind Waker. Twilight Princess doesn't have her in distress, but shows her making a decision to save her people. And Skyward Sword has one of the best Zelda's for precisely that reason! Not to mention Hyrule Warriors Zelda is about as hands-on as you can get!
  12. As N-Europe's official "Guy who plays way too much Hyrule Warriors" I can certainly get behind Linkle being promoted to mainline series. She is secretly the best character in that game, after all. Plus, she does say "Woo!" at one point.
  13. Keep in mind that the gameplay demo was using the WiiU version. I trust Zelda games to have decent consistent framerates.
  14. OK, Dazzybee. Now I know where my Rumble Pack went... You can keep it, I don't want it anymore.
  15. Worth noting that this doesn't work if you already got an Arceus from GAME earlier this year. EDIT: Meloetta is now available to download through Mystery Gift. That will be the last distribution for the Mythical Pokemon in OR/AS.
  16. Yeah, you're right, It doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. You can just set it to Level 50, you don't even need to be at least Level 50, it'll still raise you up. Red was a tricky fight for my level 65-66 team. Got me down to one Pokemon, I was not ready for High Horsepower Snorlax. It's kinda funny, the actual Pokemon he uses make for a pretty crap team competitively (Seriously, drop the Pikachu) Blue has a much more dangerous team in HG/SS, what with it being a team revolving around Trick Room. Although you only get to fight one of them in Sun/Moon when you enter the Battle Tree. So I don't know whether Blue still goes with that strategy. I tried the Battle Tree and yep, it's another Battle Tower... Yawn. In fact it's not even as good now, because Triple and Rotation formats are gone. I tried it, but my playthrough team got absolutely demolished in the first fight by a Moody Glalie. So it basically jumps into the difficulty of Super Single Battles. Which is awful news if you just want to grind BP for the Mega Stones and items there. You need properly trained Pokemon to take that on.
  17. You're talking to the guy who's got 5 Pokemon weak to Rock, I'm not exactly a pinnacle of team builds. And despite my soft-resetting shenanigans with Solgaleo, I didn't bother with my actual playthrough team, so rubbish natures and lackluster EV spread all round! How about 7pm? And remember to add me on your Friend list, if you haven't already.
  18. Well, I know I'll always be available for a battle. I'll remember to convert my playthrough team to QR code, so it'd be fair.
  19. Solgaleo caught with an Adamant nature and Perfect Attack, Defense and Sp. Defense, along with at least 23 IV's in Speed. Took me until 6:30pm but totally worth it! Of course, using legendaries in a playthrough is super lame, so in the PC it went! Got to the last bit of the game, used all my rare candies and got my team to Level 56, and gunned for the finale.
  20. Get an Alakazam, teach it Telekinesis and have it watch from the sidelines. Job done, just remember to get the Alakazam to safety afterwards, because that'll be one annoyed Kangaskhan you're dealing with. Is it me, or have I read this before? Like, a few days ago? Anyway, sickening advertising aside, it's a solid game, good for it. I do wonder how many people bought it and are annoyed that it's nothing like Pokemon Go?
  21. Fair enough, but it would have been even worse if the EXP scaling from B/W wasn't in effect. I love the fact they bought that back! And if the majority of trainers didn't use only 1-2 Pokemon, I might have been in a bit of trouble... Yeah, I noticed my Fire type overabundance. I don't care though, I use the Pokemon I think look cool, type matchups be damned! Thankfully, it's caused a few issues that have made certain fights tricky. I mentioned the Rock Kahuna actually blacking me out once. Not because it was difficult, but because I had three Pokemon and they were all weak to rock and slower than her Lycanroc. That was fun, had to change up my strategy there. And recently, the 4th Kahuna actually put up a bit of a fight, but again, that's mainly due to 3 of my Pokemon being weak to ground. Why do I have to gimp myself in order for anyone to put up a challenge? Can't wait to actually fight some decent teams from N-Europe peeps! Anyway, enough griping. I'm gonna spend all day soft resetting Solgaleo until I get a good one! Adamant with IV's in attack and speed, here I come! It'll probably be the point where you get ahead of me now. This could take a while...
  22. That bloody fan theory (Although they've pretty much retconned it in at this point) always annoys me. I mean, if it applies, why the hell is Cubone brown? Shouldn't it be Purple? And don't even get me started on the fact that female Marowaks don't have the pouch Kangaskhan does! This has more holes in it than an Exploud!
  23. Yep, he's right. You play Jungle Beat with the bongos or you don't play it at all.
  24. 'Fraid not. No more Super Training. You have to raise EV's the old, slightly confusing way. That's Game Freak for you. Two steps forward, one baffling step back. Anyway, I'm about to go to the fourth Island, still have only 4 Pokemon on my team. Would have been 5 but Oranguru, who I was planning on using, is Moon exclusive. Figures... My team ranges from Lv 44 to 46, breezing through this so far, like pretty much every Pokemon game really.
