OK, so with @Nicktendo, @Sméagol and @RedShell, we have a choice of Private 2 V 2 Battles, Turf Wars, Salmon Run (If it's open) and League Battle. So now's the time for voting. I vote Salmon Run, if that's not available, Turf War.

Seconded on Theatrhythm. Amazing Bargain for an Amazing Rhythm Game. Fair warning, Dillon's second game, while the better game, is significantly harder than the first.

So with Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon featuring a big massive throwback to a whole bunch of past villains from the series, I thought it'd be nice to look back on the many villains that the series as a whole has given us. Both mainline and spin-offs alike. It goes without saying that there will be MASSIVE BLATANT SPOILERS THROUGHOUT! So, you know... Careful. I'll also be analyzing how good their evil plan was and whether it could have actually worked if some random kid didn't ruin everything. Just as a heads-up, I'm gonna be mostly ignoring the anime, because I just don't have much knowledge on it. Also, this is gonna be a pretty long read already. Boy, that took forever! But there's all the villains that have appeared in Pokemon games. Which one is your favourite? Any you didn't like?

Miiverse, Wii U Chat and Tvii Shutdown In November
Glen-i replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yep, I got mine as well. Looked back through Memory Lane and found some ones that made me smile. The Switch capture is nice and all, but somehow, it's just not the same. I'm really gonna miss Miiverse... -
...I didn't even know you could...

Huh... Funny you should say that... Anyway, Credits rolled and Team Rocket: Fabulous Edition beaten up with nothing but Grass Pokemon. Added an Exeggutor (Called Eggward) to my team. Won't go into what I thought of the plot changes yet, because I'm pretty sure I'm the first N-Europer to do so. Just some loose ends to wrap up. (Totem Stickers, reaching the Battle Tree, etc.) and then I start getting new competitive Pokemon trained up.

I think my one was the odd one. Rotomdex is now being depressed for me as well. Still, it seems that if you poke it when this happens a few times, you'll get a chance at Roto Lotto. So it's cool. But now Rotom won't stop giving me "Unwanted advice" I just want it to be my map. But he WON'T STOP TALKING! And he keeps trying to get me to use items after battles. Ugh... Anyway, Ghost Trial done. And I've noticed that every totem has either a Fire/Bug/Flying/Poison move. They must really have wanted Decidueye to be the wrong choice of starter this time, huh? My team is weak against 80% of the fights I have and it's hilarious. Team is the same as before, but everyone's evolved now and at Lv 40.
-
Nope, you've done the main portion of the game. There are some hidden optional challenge rooms to find, but the majority of them are pretty damn hidden.

About to do the Grass Trial, and here's my all Grass team so far. Nicknames in brackets. Quilladin (Arthur) Lv 29 Dartrix (Bob) Lv 29 Grovyle (Jupitol) Lv 29 Parasect (Parry) Lv 30 Cacnea (Cassandra) Lv 29 What have I learned? Well, the selection of Grass Pokemon in this game is woefully crap. I thought I'd have more choice, but looked up what's there and didn't like most of what I saw. So I transferred a Chespin and Cacnea egg over and used Island Scan to nab a Grovyle. I plan on getting Exeggcute later on. Never used a Parasect before, so that's been fun. The game once again limits my clothes colours to warm colours, and I can't find a 3 star Blue Dye shop in Festival Plaza and it's making me very upset. I've had one black out so far, predictably on the Fire Trial. Seems gimping myself is the only chance of getting some challenge and even then, it's only because I had a humongous disadvantage. Grinded around three levels, changed my usual Totem fight strategy (Go for the smaller ones ASAP) and nailed it the second time without a single fainting, typical. By the way, word to the wise, there's a really cool side quest that gets activated if you talk to a kid on Big Wave Beach after you beat the first Grand Trial. I recommend doing it. Great stuff. Mantine Surfing is loads of fun and seems to be a really easy way to get BP. (Shame I've already got all the Mega Stones on Sun) But yeah, finding all the small changes has been fun. It's also been interesting to be getting @Dcubed's views, seeing as he never played S/M. Fun fact: So far, this game has about 20% more Kanto references and 20% more Nebby not staying in the bloody bag! Oh, and one more thing... The Photo Booth is WAY too much fun!

Hah! That's priceless! I look so upset! It's like a referee blew a whistle at me for smacking you in the face!
-
Good games, guys. Shame @Sméagol was a no show. But 2 VS 2 definitely changes the dynamic for some of the modes. What doesn't change is my utter incompetency. If you do get another group going, give me a shout.
-
Yeah, OK. That one was totally my bad, @RedShell Only just noticed what they did when I jumped there. Well played.
-
I'm alright with either. (Yeah, not helpful, I know)
-
I should probably stop using roller for Tower Control, huh?
-
I guess we'll call you if @Sméagol shows up then.
-
Tell you what, until @Sméagol joins, I'll just play spectator and run around doing nothing. Kill me, and you get a jerk award! EDIT: @dazzybee, you jerk!
-
Sorry I'm late, be on in a mo. And I'm cool with random stage, rotate modes.
-
Yeah, that's definitely the toughest area in the game. Don't be afraid to use those secondary items. Because you lose them if you die, so you might as well.

There's always gonna be a few games in my list. Sure, it changes over time. Currently, for me, it's... Terranigma is always praised as one of the SNES' hidden gems, and that's got me curious. I've actually just started playing this on my modded SNES Mini (Hey, if it gets re-released on Switch, VC or otherwise, I'll happily pay for it), so we'll see how that goes. The Romancing SaGa series is another hard to access bunch of SNES games that I want to try. But I can't read Japanese. I might have to rely on a fan translation to play these. But I do love me some SNES RPG goodness. I actually have access to Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth. @Ugh first aid has a copy and @Dcubed has a PS4 and some of you guys have bigged this game up a lot when it came out that it's made me morbidly curious. Probably not now though, I have some Pokemon to play at the moment. Farenheit (also known as Indigo Prophecy) is, well not really classed as a masterpiece, not even that good a game. But it's known for having one of the most amazing (and hilarious) plot-related implosions in video games. And that's just something I want to experience at least once.

I'll take the initiative to get you warned. A 6th player would be perfect for some 3 on 3 tonight from 9pm.
-
That reminds me, I mis-started on at least 4 separate occasions this week. Kinda embarrassing.
-
I'm gonna reiterate what I said when I wrote about this game in the Gaming Diary Thread. Why would you even want to turn back to normal?
-
Me too! I suppose 2 VS 2 is worth a shot.
