Yep, far too Japanese to appeal over in the West. Didn't help that Level 5 did the typical Level 5 thing of running a series into the ground very quickly. The biggest factor for me losing interest in Yokai Watch was the lack of control I had over actual fights. A JRPG where I'm limited in how I can influence battles? I nope'd right out of that after the demo. A shame really, I quite liked the concept.

That's fine. I'd rather people join in whenever they can. Because it's more mental and fun that way. For what it's worth, I'm still gonna put the whole table up at the end of the year regardless of attendance. But there'll be a second table that cuts the low attendees out, which will be the official end results. That way, you can still compare your averages to everyone else at the end of the year.

No, you're right, you do have to run into them in Hyrule Warriors to pick them up. I don't expect them to bring over the QoL improvements FE had for Hyrule Definitive. Love to be proven wrong though.

I played it for the visuals, stayed for the old school gameplay. Something about the momentum based movement and moderate challenge really clicked for me.

Why Swablu of all Pokémon? I'll never understand Pokémon Go's logic where Altaria is apparently the same high value as Gyarados and Drowzee's are annoyingly common... As a Pokémon Expert, it makes no sense.

Oh, BTW. The update added video capture support. And for some reason, it doesn't force you to hashtag the game title...

I'm of a similar opinion when it comes to single player. Thankfully, you can play through pretty much the entire game without CPU helpers. If you ever need CPU's to progress, there's always a respawning enemy for you to friend. As soon as they do what you need them to do, you can just hold Y near them and "unfriend" (Actual in-game term) them. You're then free to carry on. The only thing playing solo stops you from doing is mixing copy abilities.

I guess it's April in Japan now then? I do miss the sprites now and again. Especially after playing Black and White again with it's amazing animated ones. I can totally understand why they swapped to models. Sprite art is hard work. Especially when you've got well over 900 Pokémon/Forms to do.

Yeah, I noticed. Nice touch. I'm starting to tune out Olivia's screeches a bit now. Helps that she has a good moveset. Tharja actually has one different move than Robin but her stats aren't that great, so she just comes across as a discount Robin. A shame, because I like when you swap to her and she says "Yay. Danger." in that deadpan tone. (Henry would have been funnier to play as.) I have Owain as the System Voice now and my word, it's great. I went to skip a cutscene and he exclaimed "You would transcend space and time!?" Got a good laugh out of me.

They definitely are, she screams way too much when swinging her sword. I'm not sure, but I don't think it's the Awakening voice. I'm gonna try and find the voice actress for both games. EDIT: Yep, same actress. She sounds pretty different.
