I didn't say that I won't. I said I'm not sure if I will. I might even preorder if they'll announce some more stuff from the first year after launch or so. Let's look at my Wii collection: Zelda: TP Zelda: SS Mario Galaxy New Mario Metroid Prime 3 Smash Bros I missed out on DKC Returns, Paper Mario, Mario Kart (although TBH, everyone I've spoken to think it's inferior to DD and 64) and Galaxy 2. Or should I have bought something else?

For the first time in over ten years, I'm not sure whether I'll pre order a Nintendo system. At this point, I'm not even sure I'll buy a Wii U at all. The Wii didn't cut it for me on oh so many levels. And nearly all those levels had to do with the software lineup. What Nintendo have lined up for launch isn't bad. I can say that with absolute confidence, because I can check reviews and ask friends, because they're ALREADY OUT. Pikmin seems to be great and ZombiU as well. But I have no guarantee of what we'll see post-launch. It might be the Wii all over again, with us being starve fed for core experiences from Nintendo and an absolute disinterest from the third parties. I mean: Nintendo have prioritized to get Nintendoland, Wii Fit U and NSMB (which could be considered a bridge game) out for launch... and then only give core gamers Pikmin. Isn't that a sign of things to come? This isn't a rant about Nintendos E3 presentation. The E3 presentation was a chance to redeem themselves after six years of mistreating their most loyal fans. They didn't destroy anything last week, they just missed their opportunity to undo some of the damage caused.

"Videogames are becoming mainstream media like movies and music. F**king deal with it or get left behind" Is that plain and short enough? *This has been a provocative Clarksonism brought to you by: Boredom, your foremost provider of trolling*

Yes. The promise of those awesome 3DS games made me buy a 3DS. If I didn't know of anything more than OoT 3D and Pilotwings Resort, I probably would've never bought it.

A Mario game where Mario destroys everything by turning it into money... What could that be a metaphor for? *Looks back at Nintendos press conference* Oh!

Mass Effect for Wii U? Now stick Shepard and the gang into Smash Bros! On a more serious note: this is one of extremely few decent titles for the Wii U, how was this thread buried so fast? Aren't you hyped over how the gamepad is going to be utilised? I'm certain that the microphone in the tablet will emulate the Kinect functionality in dialogues. Then having your powers accessible on the tablet? And of course Wii U lovers will get the privilege of the Extended Cut from day one. Perhaps even some DLC will be included on the disc.

The Wii has to my recollection the fewest games sold per console. Casuals buy one or two games a year, and then they buy the one that everyone else has. Cores spend much more money and research on their games.

Would anyone bet their house on anything? I might bet my house on 2012 not being the end of the world. But only because if it's the end of the world, I won't really have much use of my house, will I? Here in Sweden, people are all for completely disbanding the armed forces, because they believe no hostile forces will ever try to attack us. But they still won't bet their houses on it. I have ONE thing to say: Casuals don't watch f**king E3! No soccer mom is going to go online and sit in front of the computer and patiently listen to game news! And regarding shareholders: that conference had a most definitely negative effect on Nintendo's stock. So if that was their goal, they still failed.

Is Nintendo About to go a Generation Down Already?
darkjak replied to Retro_Link's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I was hoping that we'd get to see neither, and get Metroid, F-Zero, Starfox, 3D Mario, Mariokart, Smashbros, GTA 5, Nintendo GT or something worthwile instead. -

NINTENDO @ E3: Penguins Approaching. It's Just a Box!

Somewhat. I watched todays episode and liked it a lot. Both his hint at the Wii U launch and that they bashed Microsoft for what they've done to Rare. -

Then what's the point of even having the scratch card thing? I'm most definitely expecting it to be completely scratched by the time the conference starts. -

Anyone wanna hazard a guess when Nintendo are going to start scratching off those launch titles? -

Hopefully they took the hint and scrapped it. Iwatas recent claim seems to indicate that they really have put an effort into presenting some really good games, rather than gimmicky fitness peripherals and plastic shells. I don't want to see a plastic shelled labeled as a Zapper, with no stock and the trigger in the wrong place. If they announce a Wii U wheel, it better be something like: If they're going to announce a music game, I hope it'll be more like Donkey Konga than Wii Music. As a matter of fact, I hope that Nintendo don't announce a sequel or derivative to any game which had the word "Wii" in it (except Mario Kart Wii). No, clobber all us doubters into submission with an iron fist full of true, quality games. -

I have no problem with remakes per se, as you've probably realised already. But I just don't know what would be the point with a MM remake. Unlike let's say ME1, the game isn't really broken in any way. There would be the obvious improved graphics. But then what? Motion controls? Still not enough. Voice acting? I could see MM getting a 3DS remake like Ocarina of Time. But that's it. As I've previously stated though: Nintendo GT What better way to say "Let's get those core gamers" than a sweet GT-killer? They better have Koenigseggs -
Whom would have taken Jigglypuffs spot? Who knows! There's just a certain ammount of man power that's available to develop ANY game. Even in the biggest of games, no more than perhaps 50% of all ideas make it in to the final game. So to add one new character, you have to deny another. Who knows what characters we could've had in Brawl if priorities had been different. Personally I think that Pokémon trainer should've been the first Pokémon character in the Smash franchise. Having Pikachu and Jigglypuff because of their popularity in the cartoons is like having the king of Hyrule because he existed in the CD-i games.

How many Pokémon are there nowadays? I owned blue, loved it, planned on getting the new ones, but every time I got around to it, there was a new one announced. Pokémon is a bottomles well: you can add literally hundreds of them and people still won't have the one they want. Why not instead add characters that are unaccounted for. Like someone from Punchout? Not to mention the near infinite ammount of characters you can borrow from other companies.

I'm praying for there not being any more Pokémon in there. As a matter of fact, I want Jigglypuff removed. And Pichu. I'd rather have a Gerudo, or what's his name from Disaster: Day of Crisis.

I kind of understand and don't. You want a more fast paced, mobile experience, rather than the cover based mechanics of the current ME games? Interresting, although I'd prefer ME to return to its roots and be more RPG-like. But regarding the N7 ops idea, a first person view could very well work. However, from what I've been taught, a first person view is good for putting you in the shoes of a character, but not very good for story telling. I can sort of agree. Mass Effect has some epic settings, but unfortunately they're used as hub-worlds rather than missions. The most memorable part of ME1 is the interior of the Citadel. In ME2, Illium and Omega are really awesome. But the actual places where the missions take place are sort of forgettable. -

Define "Haloified gameplay", please. I'm not objecting against what you say in any way, I just don't realy know what you mean. I must admit, I'm probably the only Xbox 360-owner whom doesen't have anything with Halo written on it. -

If we get this s**t again, I'm going to kill myself. Or someone else. Or a fluffy kitten (and I quite honestly am a cat lover). Whichever will be the easiest and most satisfying at the given time with the given tools. I don't know how I'd react to this TBH. I absolutely adore the ME franchise and most certainly want more. But the combat isn't really the heart of the ME franchise. The characters and story is. Perhaps if the campaign would tie in to the main franchise in a clear way, or if the game in one way or another will contain the characters of ME1-3, I might go for it. Also, there MUST be an option for you to play offline. -
Of course, I do understand that we have to have FIFA games, because a lot of people like those games and won't buy a console without them. And it's interresting to see how they'll use the tablet. But I don't really see this as a surprise in any way. If you're surprised by this, I can make a few more "predictions": the Wii U will get Madden and NHL (also Tiger Woods, if they even make those anymore) as well.

Um... I didn't see this coming *sarcasm*
