I got the new mappack last night (eventually), I've tried it out last night and the maps are alright, you can easily get lost in them though.

Official Issues and Problems Thread

My Wii drive is leaving dust marks on my discs that look like scratches but aren't, it's getting to the point that it's annoying finding them on there after playing each game. -
I recommend Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey over Eternal Sonata by miles. Blue Dragon is unfairly bashed with the best gameplay of the three plus it has no damn random encounters except the storyline is simple. You need to play beyond the first hour to get to grips with the job/skills system and battle system with the Charge meter letting you decide the order of turns and power of all attacks. Also you either love or hate Akira Toriyama's art style in the game. Lost Odyssey is alright the storyline is average there is more storyline than in Blue Dragon but it's often overshadowed by a set of short stories that you can read each time you sleep in a inn, it's written seperately by famous Japanese novelist Kiyoshi Shigematsu. It's more old school but still enjoyable with simple Attack, Skills, Magic and defend commands but no summons and special attacks. Both are TURN BASED RPG's and have great soundtracks from Nobou Uematsu.

That happens alot in headquarters, I've been playing Hardcore TDM lately with less of that happening but it has more people with last stand now.

I just got brawl up and loading fine with 3.1E firmware, a bit scared that I might brick my Wii in the end but it's working fine ATM. : peace: -

I somehow managed to cancel my order on codejunkies, I sent an email off yesterday and I just received email confirmation that it's been cancelled. My order off gameseek is on it's way too plus the shipping isn't ridiculously overdone for only a disc in a DVD case. -
I don't understand why IGN are complaining about it being slow in 50cc (from what I've read of it summarized in text though)? It's always been like that.

You can play Brawl online with Friends code surely but random matchmaking will probably be region locked for the US so it'll be laggy. So I'll be getting the PAL version when it comes out also in case it get's blocked and the freeloader doesn't get patched or something. -
I'm still not happy with the respawning, sometimes I still respawn in front of the other team or I just run out for a second and die straight away. Hardcore TDM is a new favourite of mine now, it's a nice break from the spray and pray gametypes. I'm avoiding Headquarters from now on as that seems to be biased towards one team or the other depending on where they spawn.

Sigh.. PES 2008 is complete shit even many other hardcore PES fans admit that (apart from those clutching at straws), at least last year Fifa 08 came out on top in terms of everything (gameplay, graphics and sound well apart from player models). Konami have alot of work to do to make PES 09 a big improvement for next gen.

Is no one else here thinking of getting Trauma Center: New Blood early rather than in August? When I know the Freeloader works fine then I'll definitely be getting it. I'm seriously considering Brawl niow but I'm wondering how many copies VGP has coming in, otherwise I'll order it off Play-Asia or something. -

Somehow I doubt it, alot of people will have bought it on impulse as soon as the Freeloader got announced. Maybe around the 100's as a rough guess. -

So brawl doesn't have region locked online battles but the majority of people playing online will be american? -
So how is the spawning now? I still think they should have implemented spawn protection somehow.

Having played up to Disc 4 I'm just forcing myself to play cos it just reached a new height of ridiculous lack of direction. Disc 2 was bad enough with it's dungeon crawling questing with no plot behind it wondering around because it took me there. Disc 3 was much better it has it's best moments in the game despite being cliche but things in there could of been done alot better. The dreams are probably the one thing keeping you distracted from the poor storytelling in the main plot. The battle system is fun but nothing interesting behind it's minus the flashy moves like Limit breaks. The aim ring is a good idea they've used but needs a bit more especially with magic users, a bit more customization too would of been great with the limited skill/skill link system.

This might be worth getting for Trauma Centre: New blood and No More Heroes with the gore but I'd rather not play Brawl online against Americans in case of lag which is a big disadvantage. -
Why is it still called Rainbow Six when it's so action based now? What happened to the squads too? In the prequel I just didn't like how you had to move your other squad mates while in the action they just ended up in the wrong places ending up getting themselves killed. Sometimes the Enemy A.I would cheat too killing you with shotguns from long range..

I really doubt Mario Kart Wii will be affected at all.

I can't join any games at all at the moment. "Connection cannot be established" The Internet channel and shop channel works fine though.
