Where can I buy Half Life 1:PC?
21st century cowboy replied to 21st century cowboy's topic in Other Consoles
Steam seems a bit pricy. No I'm just wanting half life 1 at the moment but with opposing force and blue shift. I suppose I could get half life 2 to get HL:Source, along Half Life Anthology. Does Source make much difference to the game? -
Where can I buy Half Life 1:PC?

Just because it's got HL:Source in and Counter Strike, whereas the Anthology pack doesn't. -
I was wondering if anybody would know where I can buy the Half Life Platinum Collection 2nd Edition pack from? It's only been released in America but I've been assured it works over here (I'm not big on PC gaming!).

I'd prefer it if they remade sands of time as i just got bored fighting and would prefer just a ton load of jumping about.
-
I'm betting on some sort of spin off. A true Zelda console game wouldn't get released within 18 months of it's predecessor. Tingle or Tetra are the only options I see or maybe a game like Dragon Quest Swords? Poor PH, was so looking forward to playing it soon.

Not sure I like the sound of the sword fights. When fighting, you position the Wiimote facing up, centered, or facing down in order to move Travis into one of three fighting positions. To perform standard attacks, you repeatedly press the A button. I don't want to be pressing buttons, on the Wiimote, to move my katana. It just doesn't seem right. http://gonintendo.com/wp-content/photos/88646_1164787772600_122_516lo.jpg first scan. graphics look quite good and maybe a bit different from the trailer. Anyone agree?

thoughts about the Classic controller
21st century cowboy replied to DiemetriX's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Only reason I'll be getting one is the fact that I don't want to play Yoshi's Island (I'm sure it'll be on the VC soon) and other SNES titles, with the small, crappy D-pad on the cube controller. -
Red Steel had to be at launch one way or another. Plus it lets Retro have some more time with Metroid. To be fair they haven't had a massive amount of time to make the game (as with most launch titles). Lets judge games on our own terms when we've played them, instead of going along with a certain bandwagon.
-
It's not my job to, unlike Sony. Lets face it they've had to cobble this launch together so they don't have egg on their face. I'm not Sony bashing it's just the simple truth. I'm sure Microsoft had more systems ready for launch, didn't they?
-
So Sony have only managed to ship about 260 000 to America and Japan (I'm presuming they've sold most of em). That is very poor for a launch. They should be ashamed.

How much extra do you think it will cost ie to download or on top of the £180? -
Thanks i was getting the indication from reading some stuff that it might actually make wii games look worse on an HDTV
-
This looks better than Red Steel at the mo. I'm sure I've seen that image above from the Wii version over on ign and it looked a good deal better than that. The faces particulaly. http://uk.media.wii.ign.com/media/815/815492/vids_2.html First vid about 25 seconds in. Sorry i don't know how to just get a picyure of it
-
Can someone clear this up for me. If I have a HDTV, componant cables + Wii, will it look better than playing the Wii on a normal tv with the composite cables?
-
I was thinking about how gamerankings.com are going to get round the fact that cross platform games are going to score different on the Wii, due to controls and grahics? The average scores may become inlated or deflated due to this.
-
Surely wouldn't have messed up Resi 4 being playable on the Wii. *prays* I want to sell my gamecube for some christmas cash.
-
I haven't read that thread yet. Should drowns resistence's 'killer app' 91%. So is there some sort of ND agreement on it or whatever it's called on Zelda?

Wii Launch Period Racing games, anyone getting any?

WarioWare: Smooth Moves (Wii) - January 12th 2007 Excite Truck (Wii) - February 2007 http://www.ds-x2.com/index.php?id=5895 This is what DS-x2 says. Supposidly from a Nintendo press release. I'm not getting my Wii till after my exams so I'll be getting Excite Truck on day 1! I was thinking today I really hope EA bring Burnout to the Wii, it could be really special. -
I was wondering when the first reviews were gonna start coming out. But where is Zelda? From what I've seen Excitetruck and Zelda were given out with most of the promotional Wii's. I just can't see how SMB could get a low score. I expect that average to jump up fairly sharply.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Spoilers Topic)
21st century cowboy replied to Ashley's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I thought that too. It has me worried. Also does the lack of Samus in a suit piont to Mega man being in the game. Also no one has mention the space level. It seems to be samus'. I suprised by how good it looks, not that I'm really bothered mind. Plus I'm loving the Fox design. I want a new character to be shown every week. -
What are them long chalk like things? Got to say I prefer the American boxart for red steel. I can honestly see this being the second best selling Wii launch game. I don't have to say after which game do I?

There was a low-key Nintendo conference over in Japan and now we can bring you all the details straight from the event, courtesy of neo2046 and Jonnyram from NeoGAF and summarised by Amir0x. First of all, Shigeru Miyamoto has unveiled something called a 'Health Pack' (working title) for Nintendo's Wii, which is related to Family Health Check; Following the half-million selling Cooking Navi for DS, a new edition will be made available. Called "DS Menu Collection" it will have 1,000 in-built recipes and comes with a magnetic stand that attaches to your fridge, so you do not have to leave your vulnerable DS by the cooker (it will cost an extra 1,200Yen). It is also Wi-Fi compatible! More videos have been released, which can be seen here: Wii-Experience; As of next Spring (2007), Nintendo will apparently do away with discs and manuals for some games as part of the "Wii Compact Software" line, meaning you can simply download the titles; From launch until the end of 2006, Japan will see 18 Wii games launched; Nintendo will be following the successful strategy taken with the DS for the Wii's life; Big Brain Academy on Wii will not be released until Spring 2007; Including titles from the MegaDrive and PC Engine, there will be about 60 Virtual Console games launched in Japan before the end of 2006; Japan will see The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess on Gamecube released ONLY online. Wii Points Prepaid Card Details 1,000Yen = 1,000 Wii points 3,000Yen = 3,000 Wii points 5,000Yen = 5,000 Wii points + classic Controller Other Pricing Details Power brick = 3,000Yen Composite cable = 1,000Yen S-Video = 2,500Yen D terminal = 2,500Yen Component cable = 2,500Yen 512MB SD Card = 3,800Yen Wired LAN Adapter = 2,800Yen More accessory details can be seen here: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wii/accessories/index.html from cubed - http://www.cubed3.com/news/6113/1/All_the_Wii%20and%20DS_Details_from_Japan

Didn't udersatand alot of the second half of it. I may have been tired but the sentances just seemed too complex. ReturnOTK without the extra scenes just didn't make sense to me.

I'm only really wanting to know about the running time for the films as I don't really watch extras (apart from thursday nights)
