Correct. We call our team united. And indeed sing "United *clap clap clap*" So when people talk about Man U as just "United" and expect people to know which team they're talking about it's utterly stupid. Unless it says on their profile that they come from Wales, Ireland or Essex, then I know they support Team Manchester

Nintendo have made no attempt to stop pirate DS games, not even in terms of stopping them playing online. I really can't see them franticly updating firmware all the time to try and stop chips or softmods for the Wii. If they did bother to try and combat it with a firmware update, people just wont update their firmware until that firmware version is cracked. If it's something like flashing the disc drive, it wouldn't be detectable through the internet anyway.

Even when we're playing Man United you still get people saying "United have just conceded another goal" when we score against them/

It really boils my piss when people (Usually armchair Sky fans who support one of the big four no matter where they live) refer to Man United as "United".

Havn't played this for about 2 weeks now, got to the 7 hour mark and totally lost interest. Is it similar all the way through or does it get better later on? Cos I was having severe difficulty staying awake and resisting the urge to play something else. Although I've never managed to enjoy any of the 3D Zelda games really apart from Wind Waker which I thought was alright. They shouldn't have moved Link out of 2D in my opinion. Hopefully Phantom Hourglass will be more fun.

Picked this up today Managed to get 2 wiimotes as well so I've now got a set of 4. £27 from my local indy store, about £5 cheaper than game!

Yeah, pothead-hating right-wing conservative Christian yank radio commentator Rush Limburgh for one.

I don't believe him either, it's not been released on the net by scene groups or on the streets by the russian mafia. If anyone has a pikey copy, they do.

Chimbonda slaps Nicky Butt after the halftime whistle right in front of the linesman, who duely bottles it. Nasty little **** then starts bickering with the fans, then a bit of a barney in the tunnel. Wonder if the linesman was the same one who missed Defoe being offside for their goal. EDIT: He's been booked in the dressing room, would have thought it'd be a red for that. be interested to say what he puts in his report about what the yellow was for, can't have been for the slap because that rule isn't open to interpretation. If he's given if for deliberately striking an opponent in the face off the ball it had to be a red. What a tool Steve Bennet is - Jamie Redknapp too.

Both my parents and 2 of my good friends are teachers and they've never been told about it. Nor have they been "banned" from calling a blackboard a blackboard by "they". I'd say that making jokes about Jews would get you in more trouble than racist jokes, but maybe it's just down to personal experience. The kind of hysteria is the same when some nugget puts up a huge flagpole in his front garden without planning permission and the council tell him to take it down or pub chains decide a few of their branches wont be done out in footy stuff during the world cup to cater for people who aren't interested in football - cue "ST GEORGES CROSS BANNED from the UK!"headlines.

Er, yes you do. They're protected by the same racial and religious hatred laws as everyone else. Indeed holocaust denail is a crime in Germany. Most of this "They're trying to ban baa baa black sheep!" (Whoever 'they' are) is invented and exaggerated by the media. One clueless supply teacher in the 90s mentions it, and then ten years later whenever the subject of racism comes up people band it about as if it nearly became law.

It becomes that way when instead of just saying "This guy I know got beaten up with a hammer" the story is told as"A guy I know got beaten up by blacks, who had a hammer". Which then leads to people saying "Yeah, why do blacks do this, or blacks do that, it was probably that black music they always listen to, what's with those blacks anyway" Would anyone have said "He got beaten up by whites?"

http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/01/13/water.intox.ap/index.html Uh - No-one at this radio station knew that too much water can kill you?
-
I'd say that treating 'blacks' as one homogeneous group who love gang culture is pretty racist in itself.

What was Silva sent off for? in the text update on bbc.co.uk it happened just after he was fouled, did he lamp someone? Good news for me, some of my rivals in the pub league have got arsenal players.
-
Footy forums I go on have warnings and bans for posting links to streams because they've had letters threatening legal action from the premier league who are having a bit of a furious clampdown at the moment.

Have you not heard some of the lyrics? Stop! Hammer time! Clearly this bloke was influenced by rap.

I heard if you let monkey's press a button to get a banana, they do it a lot. I also knew someone who ate a lot of bananas and he was a dick and dropped out of school. I definitely dont think they should be legalised.

What do you mean by that? You can die from ODing on alcohol, you can't die from ODing on weed.

New Wii Firmware version available: V2.1E
BlueStar replied to Myke Greywolf's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Think I'll hold back on this update seeing as there's no noticible changes in case it's just to block tinkering about with things what should not be tinkered with. -
But alcohol has adverts on the telly with beautiful people drinking it and funny men being wkd to each other! It comes in pretty containers! Weed is a DRUG like CRACK and CYANIDE, not like alcohol which is a drink like mineral water and green tea! You know what DRUG takers do, they stare into the sun till they go blind or get sent to mental hospitals because they think they're a glass of orange juice! It happened to a friend of a friend!

6-3? Minutes silence before the next home game at Anfeild for that then.

Thanks for your insight, please provide a cite for when someone has smoked too much weed and jumped off a cliff.

Yep, I definitely think they should look into some kind of legalised, controlled supply of heroin. I think it would do less damage to society than the current situation, be cheaper to the government and safer for both addicts and the public. Doubt it'll happen though, people have an idealistic approach aiming for an impossible to reach goal rather than dealing with the reality of the situation in a sensible manner.

You should have offered to buy his bike for 10p, see how desperate he was.
