demonmike04 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Im pretty sure this hasnt been covered yet, and its got me thinking. Basically, games such as Wii Golf and Wii Bowling and minigames on other games that are multiplayer, are all took in turns. So I was wondering, will you still need an extra Wiimote to do multiplayer? Titles such as worms and Burnout crash mode have used this, were you can have alot of players playing and taking in turns, but you only require one controller. So does any one know if these games will have this? It seems pretty stupid if they didnt, and seeing the latest video's on wii.com with the old japanese peeps having two controllers to play golf pretty much puts a bullet in my idea.
Cube Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 42 All-Time Classics didn't have a non-simultaneous 1-DS function, even know every game is non-simultaneous. It's really annoying that it didn't have this feature. Hopefully, Wii Sports will not forget about this.
demonmike04 Posted October 15, 2006 Author Posted October 15, 2006 You could do it on Advance wars DS, but not many people knew about it. On versus mode, when sorting out what teams the computer handles and what teams you handle, I just set it to 1 vs 1 and set both teams in my control and my friend would play when my control finished.
Nintendork Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 I like it for certain party games and team games. But for something vaguely serious I would get proper annoyed. Good game design would suggest yes, capitalist ways would suggest no.. as it results in the purchase of more controllers. I thought you meant like in Micro Machines where you use half a controller each to control your own car. That is a laugh.
Emasher Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 it will be esier to just use multiple controllers if you have them but i will only be able to afford one extra at lanch.
Hellfire Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Wario Ware supports up to 7 players I think, so 1 controller can be used for multiplayer
ShadowV7 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Wario Ware supports up to 7 players I think, so 1 controller can be used for multiplayer I thought it was up to 5.
Emasher Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 some modes in wario ware will probably be simotaneous some wont like in the gc version
Eddage Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Well I'm pretty sure that one of the wii bowling videos on the website shows an Italian couple playing each other with the one controller, so I would say that it will be possible.
Hellfire Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 I thought it was up to 5. I said "I think"! I'M DOING MY BEST HERE! :p
Tellyn Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 The Wario Ware Touched 1DS play was quite good, with the table tennis or pong (can't remember).
Kurtle Squad Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 You could do it on Advance wars DS, but not many people knew about it. On versus mode, when sorting out what teams the computer handles and what teams you handle, I just set it to 1 vs 1 and set both teams in my control and my friend would play when my control finished. How can not many people know about it when it's the same as on all the others And to the original topic, yes, I would expect you to only need one Wiimote, just like on Monkey Ball, Mario Golf etc etc, where you chose which controller controls which characters.
triforce_keeper Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Well I'm pretty sure that one of the wii bowling videos on the website shows an Italian couple playing each other with the one controller, so I would say that it will be possible. Nope, just checked. They had one each.
demonmike04 Posted October 15, 2006 Author Posted October 15, 2006 How can not many people know about it when it's the same as on all the others Alot of my friends who own the game never had the originals, but I guess I did state what I said a bit stronger than what I meant. Im gonna look through all the vids on wii.com now see what games hint towards the one controller required multiplayer. Nope, just checked. They had one each. Ah crap. Well, that was kinda expected. Nintendo have been milking their products alot lately... wankers. Ah well, you cant beat em.
