It has been known for hte xbox 360 to suffer from gaming lag on some plasma / LCD HD screens, i'm looking for a lcd screen to buy for the wii as currently i have no tv to play it on when i get it do you think the wii could suffer from gaming lag even though it does not produce HD graphics, or can anyone reccomend a tv which works well with a xboc 360

Why does it lag? Is it the tvs refresh rate or something?

Im hoping to run the wii on my monitor im guessing that should be fine if i runs half life 2. You could always get a dabs value widescreen monitor for £100 that is basically a HD tv. Or you could find out what the 360 demo pods use.

Why would the Wii lag? How do you know?.?. "Because its not powerful enough." :nono: :horse:

The lag I think people are refering here has nothing to do with the consoles. It has to do with the screens. It's known that some LCDs and plasma screens take some 13ms to respond, and that may affect some people.

Some TVs have a tendancy to lag with fast movements like a game of real tennis on TV, its rather annoying.

Yep you guys got it so i was trying to find a screen that hopefully will work fine, i know the samsung has a gaming mode but to be hounest i would prefer the panasonic or sony

I noticed that after I bought an LCD TV (to replace the old CRT TV), the scrolling that occurs between acres on Animal Crossing is more blurry.

But oddly, with F-Zero GX, I could not see any difference. :hmm:

Not sure how true this is, but on another forum they said that lag occurs if you try to use the 'standard' 3-pin AV cable supplied with the Cube, on an LCD/plasma TV. And it can only be rectified by using the SCART cable (sold separately). They used fancy terms like composite and component???

Isn't this called 'ghosting'? You've got to have a trained eye to notice while playing games on modern screens, so I wouldn't worry.
