Pit-Jr Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 I started playing this game on my brothers PS2 today and made it to the first boss but had to leave. I loved the graphics and Greek Mythology setting and story, but i got bored fighting wave after wave of cloned enemies, especially with no lock-on feature (damn you Zelda). Is the rest of the game any better?
MasterYoda Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Oh, hell yeah. I'm playing God Of War at the moment, keep playing, awesome game. It's the game of the year on IGN, by the way.
Domstercool Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 God of War is a fantastic game. Seriously you have to play it all the way through to the end. It is indeed combat heavy, but you learn more moves and get more weapons etc, as you get further into the game. Such a great action game, one of the best to hit this generation of consoles.
The Bard Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Hell yeah keep on playing! The only other action games this generation that are better are Resi 4 Zelda and Metroid (which isn't actually an action game, but what the hey....)
Guest Jordan Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 I played 5 hours or so of it at Dom's. I wanna finish it ¬_¬
Hellfire Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 One of the best action games out there imo. Enjoyed it more than Ninja Gaiden
Pit-Jr Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 I agree with the lot of you. Combat aside, its an epic and engrossing game. Unfortunately, the PS2 im playing it on is on its last legs and takes about 30 minutes of voodoo/begging to read the disc.
MasterYoda Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Cleaning the laser might (and probably will) help.
Johelian Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 (edited) I loved it in varying degress up until Hades Underworld and then just had enough. Some of the things it demands you to do are stupid when you cant adjust the camera. The Hydra battle was my favourite part; after that it was pretty much downhill. ________ Jugallette Edited February 16, 2011 by Johelian
c0Zm1c Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 I loved this game! So much so that once I had finished it the first time I played through it again soon after, something I rarely do.
