Patch Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 http://www.nintendowifi.org.uk/live1/index.php?categoryid=15&p2_articleid=41 Nice article, ultrajamie. I think the difficulty of hardware is fairly irrelevant. A developers choice of platform is more influenced by the popularity of a console, and hence which platform is more likely to generate sales. It's still interesting to see things from a developer point of view though.
xernobyl Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 I find that completly sensless. Working with shaders is has easy as coding anything else. If their developers can't understand a few math papers, then they should hire guys that can solve diferential equations.
djamb3 Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 But it is true.In fact pushing a system less powerfull is easier than doing that in in great machines. I'm sure there will be games thet will push ps3 to limits and those will be amazing but doing taht is a lot more dificult (and more expensive) than a machine like wii.
Social Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 How dare you say that the PS3 might have limits!! Take that back or evil Ken will come and get you in your sleep! A console that's as 4D as the PS3 doesn't have limits!
demonmike04 Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Thats right social, the only limit for PS3 is the sky.... And the ground, that thing just doesnt seem to be taking off... [/Crap fanboy joke]
Kurtle Squad Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 But Nintendo is the best thing to happen to Playstation too
Shyguy Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 idd so the actual comment should be, Nintendo to help themselves in the future!!!!
DCK Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 Haha, that's nonsense. Even the GameCube had shaders, they were only used differently than in Xbox/PC. Too bad that Mario Galaxy and Smash Brawl show off graphics that hint that the Wii will use the same type of shading as the PS3 and 360. Shaders only make game dev's lives easier. They're a quick way to make graphics look much better.
