Atomic Boo Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 I like the fact of more hunters and stuff in prime 3. Having different races either blocking you or helping you sounds cool! okay yeah super missiles were powerful but they hardly got used, by me anyway.normal missiles at the moment seem to have little effect on enemies, it just seems to make them groan a little. the charge beam combos should play a bigger part in the game cause at the moment they arent completely necessary and take up too much ammunition
James McGeachie Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 I think they're gonna be even less used in this game than before, if they're even in it at all, due to the beam stacking system in this game, where all beams combine together when you get new ones (like the 2d games) instead of you being able to switch between them. It's possible the only one they'll keep is the super missiles.

I really liked stuff like the wavebuster and the ice spreader, but they did become a bit redundant, especially in prime 2.
Atomic Boo Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 I liked the flamethrower, ice spreader and the dark beam one - forgot the name I didnt understand the aniholator charge combo though, kinda made a cobweb thing. looked pretty rubbish, but killed all
dabookerman Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 According to IGN this may be getting a possible delay Good idea
Cube Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 According to IGN this may be getting a possible delay Good idea Thank god, that means I won't have to spend all my money at once.
dabookerman Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 Thank god, that means I won't have to spend all my money at once. And they could make it look more then just a cube game
ShadowV7 Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 I don't want it to get delayed, will be crap if it does.
Blue_Ninja0 Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 And they could make it look more then just a cube game I think Retro Studios said that the grafics have already been considerably improved from the E3 build. And i see a delay of this game as a good think. It automatically means the game will be even better. Actually i usually find delay news, as good news.
EchoDesiato Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 According to IGN this may be getting a possible delay Good idea If that's true I really wouldn't mind. Both Metroid and Zelda at launch is a bit overwhelming.

And nintendo said there will be no differences between graphics between the wii and the xbox 360. I wanna see how this thing looks, but yeah, delay is good for everyone, less games for me to buy at this already ridiculous launch line up
Cube Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 "A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever."
Atomic Boo Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 Very true^ It's just there's so many games Id like, it would be nice to kick off with a metroid game and to be frank, they'be definetly been developing for a considerable amount of time now.
ShadowV7 Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 I don't care i've been hyped about Prime 3 for to long now especially since they kept saying it was confirmed,I want it at launch and don't care about the amount of games
McMad Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 You're getting annoyed about a small delay of Metroid Prime 3? Obviously you're not a Kingdom Hearts fan.... Anyway it's not like you're gonna be playing Metroid until after you've completed Zelda.

ShadowV7 Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 Never played Kingdom Hearts before,I was gonna play MP3 after a few hours of Zelda. Nice pic
Zell Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 Oh well no biggy. Zelda can satisfy my single player urges. However if it gets delayed till after Xmas.. it could effect the wii sales (in a bad way obviously).
ShadowV7 Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 If FF doesn't make it as a launch it will effect the sales in Japan.
McMad Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 Lets face it, Crystal Chronicles was never going to make it for launch anywhere. Hopefully Dragon Quest will be at the Japan launch to repair some of the damage, Zelda will also make the majority of the sales too.
Kazzahdrane Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 And nintendo said there will be no differences between graphics between the wii and the xbox 360. Wow, when did they spout this piece of weapons-grade bullonium? That's is complete and utter rubbish, the Wii can't compete with the 360 on graphics and it doesn't even support HD.

If you actually read his post he was poking fun of the fact that Nintendo over-exaggerate their game's graphics. 2. It's Dabookerman, the majority of the things he says aren't serious.

That's is complete and utter rubbish, the Wii can't compete with the 360 on graphics and it doesn't even support HD. Thats a rookie mistake, and ya hate to see it. Watch Booker get medieval on your ass with a Gi joe action figure and 200lbs of C4. Yes I am bored.
david.dakota Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Both Zelda and Metroid are large quests (in fact, didnt Nintendo say Zelda contains over 70 hours of play time?) and to have both at launch will eat into eachothers sales. Metroid could well do with being put back, perhaps hitting early December.
ShadowV7 Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 I'm getting both on launch so wouldn't bother me Aslong as I get it this year i'll be fine and it shouldn't damage the sales to much.
