ShadowV7 Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 I'll just buy it with an extra pad and about 4 games
monkeyDluffy Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 I think that in an interview with IGN at GDC, that somebody(could have been kapplin) from nintendo said that the rev was complete. Maybe thats why the DS software is taking ages to come out because their busy on rev games?! I remember spong ages ago saying a june release might be possible and then ign also reported this a while ago too, june japan, july US, august europe seems quite possible and will fall in the rough 12 weeks they orginally said.
opentarget Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 I think to launch in the next 4 months in Japan would be great timing from Nintendo, just enough time for DS light to cool down but still close enough for it to be fresh in the minds of Japanese consumers. Pre bookings would sky rocket with the memory of DS light shortages, and if Nintendo had enough consoles to go around I think it could be one of the most successful launches ever especially if there is some kind of DS – Revolution connectivity in a launch title.
Yoshiking Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 I'm going to be in Canada the first two weeks of October, so god knows I'd give anything for it to be launched in the US before/during then.. And if it's launched in Europe in November, it might just happen.. I wouldn't even have to import! Joy!
raven_blade2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 November would be fine. It would go straight up against the PS3, but if you've seen its suggessted retail price in euros, you will know it will hurt your wallet. Thats why Nintendo must seize their chance to make a good start with the Revolution.
Atomic Boo Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 I dont know what the public looking to buy a console will be like. I dont think they'll go 'look at that controller, it looks so much better than that one' Im not sure if the revolutions features will be truly appreciated and it will just be walked past.
Pestneb Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 it will need to be advertised well to get non gamers to come in to buy the revolution. I think the success of brain training with non gamers will indicate success of the revolution.
Bogbas Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 I just want to get one. For me it doesn't really matter even if the euro launch slips to 2007. I just hope that they don't rush the thing too much. As I don't want my rev to break down because of poor quality...
Nintendork Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 I'm really not sure Europe will react to Brain Training even half as well as Japan. However much they market it.. I'm not sure it can be transferred like that. But you never know, 2 million bought Nintendogs here.
DCK Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 It's going to look good up against the Playstation 3 anyway - a much better design for a third of the price. If Nintendo launches head on with Sony, they could be very competitive.

Yes I agree revolution will look nice up against the monstrosity (design wise) of the ps3 I think the prices might help a bit, people like to have nice looking things in there houses! And form a tech point of view look at psp/ds, people are evidently ready for a change in the industry which hasn’t had a leap in technology since the beginning of the 3d era, that was quite a while ago looking back……..dreams
