Retro_Link Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 http://www.cubed3.com n-Space Developing For Revolution The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that developers n-Space are expanding to double their physical size, taking on an extra 7,000 feet of space on their current site in the Westwood Plaza, Orlando. With 50 employees currently, they are also looking to grow in terms of staff, hoping to add around the region of 20 more across the art, design and production job labels. This is not the only news, though. n-Space, who developed Geist for Nintendo recently and have produced such delights as Duke Nukem and...well, Rugrats games, have hopped on board the good ship Revolution. According to sources close to Advanced Media Network, there could well be more than one game in development, though they are firmly underwraps. It is also unknown when they will be revealed, but E3 could be a safe bet. Good news!! Another developer!! Maybe we'll see a sequel to Geist; which i'm sure could implement the new controller very well, both for FPS controls and for maniplating objects to scare people by waving them around in the air, throwing them etc... all with controller movements! I'm sure they could also make some other great games!
shade Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 I don't think a sequal to geist will be made. Think about it Geist was delayed for a year, why? possibly to make a launch FPS for revolution? You never know
Jack Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Think about it Geist was delayed for a year, why? Because it was bloody awful and it needed the extra year's development to bring it up to merely 'crappily average'.
harribo Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Because it was bloody awful and it needed the extra year's development to bring it up to merely 'crappily average'. I thought it was above average tbh
dabookerman Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 now cmon, mary kate and ashley on the revolution, you can slap those annoying gimps with the controller
raven_blade2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Another chance for N-Space to shine. Dont mess up this opportunity.
pedrocasilva Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 yay, this is good news for me, I liked geist concept, and at least they are original, I want to see more games from them, and think of geist as their first "quality" attemp (not to bash the other games) but this is a company trying to give the jump further, and I wish them the best, if possible with revolution and keeping their originality.

ViPeR Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Well if the Rev is similar to develop for at least they're more familiar with what they're doing this time around. I wish them luck I quite enjoyed Geist in places, it was original and had a lot of potential.

Jack Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Geist had a lot of nice ideas, but the game itself was too flawed for me. The guns were for shit, the controls felt really floaty and loose, and the framerate was way too jerky. I think the game was in development for way too long, and it ended up coming out of the oven burnt.
DCK Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 The Revolution controller would be so perfect and natural for Geist, even better fitted than a normal FPS.
