What is a bevel effect and how do you do it? I agree its a bit too dark but if I make it any lighter it looks a bit strange! Emasher Posted August 24, 2007 Share Posted August 24, 2007 How to do a bevel effect in Photoshop (please rate Daft's sig next) Double click beside the name of the layer that you want to apply the effect to in the layers panel. Click The Countour (SP) box in the window that pops up (the bevel and emboss box should now also be checked). Play with the settings and make it perfect for your particular design What a bevel effect is: A bevel effect hi-lights one side of a graphic in white and the other in black giving the illusion of 3D.
