Julius Posted January 31 Posted January 31 (edited) Don't have a proper thread for this I don't think, so I'll clean this up later. Today's combat reveal trailer: Edited May 31 by Julius 1
Dcubed Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Can't say that making an action combat focused trailer for Silent Hill 2 of all things was the best choice... The last thing people want is to see Bloober attempt to turn SH2 into RE4. 1
Julius Posted May 31 Author Posted May 31 Trailer from last night's State of Play, which announced the game's release date of 8th October 2024: Happy Halloween and Spooky Season!
Julius Posted August 19 Author Posted August 19 (edited) Some for the game have gone up, and they seem surprisingly positive? Main takeaway seems to be that it captures the atmosphere of the original well, but retains some of its more archaic elements (even with the updated combat) and so is a fairly faithful remake? In addition to the new story trailer, Japan also got some new gameplay: Seems I might need to keep a bit of a closer eye on this one than I had been intending to... Edited August 19 by Julius 1
CrowingJoe79 Posted August 21 Posted August 21 (edited) It looks as if Bloober Team has added more to the game, while keeping it faithful to the source material. I like how you can explore the town. 🫣 So far, everything seems okay, if a little stiff in terms of Maria not moving around much in the cell. The original game does that scene in a more erotic way. Even so, the pro Kojima fans aren't going to be forgetting about 2015 at any point soon. I blooming hate typos. 😑 Edited August 21 by CrowingJoe79 Typos suck dick.
Julius Posted September 6 Author Posted September 6 The first 90 minutes of gameplay has been released by Japanese YouTube channel 2BRO: No idea how the game is going to turn out but goodness gracious that fog looks crazy 1
Julius Posted October 4 Author Posted October 4 (edited) So, uh, to most people's surprise (including my own), reviews for the game have dropped and it has been received really well! Currently at 87 on Metacritic and 86 on OpenCritic: Some reviews and impressions: Kudos to Bloober and Konami! Very curious to see where the consensus lies after the fog has cleared on whether newcomers should play this or the original. Edited October 4 by Julius 1
CrowingJoe79 Posted October 26 Posted October 26 What do you think of the remake by Bloober Team? Personally, I believe they pulled it off.
