I've just got Mario Kart 8 for the Switch, but will probably not be able to play online till next month. I just wanted to check if I can join the league?

You're more than welcome, just keep in mind that you may not have certain vehicle parts for some of the themes here. If that happens, let me know and I'll tell you some alternate parts to use.

I originally thought this was just a great red shell kill with some luck, speed of 200cc and the item box. It wasn’t until I was watching the replay I noticed the blue shell too.

Player's choice will be next week, because Halloween is closing in. As the picture suggests, you're free to choose either King Boo, Dry Bowser or Dry Bones.
Anyway, they're all dead, so you can't throw items around. Poltergeists aren't real. Mushrooms only will help you get places quicker and haunt lots of different places.
