Thing is, I'd want to jump in, but I'd end up wanting the amiibo and I have no room :p

With all due respect, that's an awful excuse.

Did you enjoy the Subspace Emissary in Brawl?

Kirby games are like a more focused version of that.

(Especially so if you use Amazing Mirror's Smash copy ability. Which I believe shows up again in this game)

I haven't played Triple Deluxe yet, I was worried if I played this first Triple Deluxe would seem pretty naff so was going to go chronological. Do you think it wouldn't matter?

Both are good games and neither of them are naff. I was just saying that you may find that the one you play first may be you favourite due to it being the first one.

Really tempted to jump into this.

It'd be my first Kirby game.

You're missing out on one of Nintendo's all time best series! It basically plays like a single player Smash Bros game (well, actually it's the other way around since Smash Bros is basically Kirby turned into a fighting game :p )

The games are generally breezy and easy... Until you get into the unlockable stuff of course ;) (the games are also very very speed runner friendly... Which is of course as hard as you make it)

Honestly, you can just jump into any of them. They're all great (though I'd say that Kirby Super Star/Super Star Ultra, Kirby's Adventure Wii and Triple Deluxe are the best of the traditional mainline series). The spinoffs are also all round amazing, not a single bad one!

Make room :p

I'd also want to digitally download it, but that means no Kirby amiibo :p

ShopTo have the code for £27. £8 cheaper than the eShop and NUK Store

Yeah that makes sense. Seems like maybe this isn't so much better it'll mak td seem rubbish though so may start with this.

You can't go wrong with either one, so it's all good.

Just played through the 1st world in Story Mode and did some stages on the 3D mini-game, enjoyable stuff so far. :)

Loving how overpowered Kirby is in the robot. :D

Still very early days to compare to Triple Deluxe, but think I may have enjoyed the initial stages of that game a little bit more. :hmm:

One slightly disappointing thing about Planet Robobot is that the performance suffers quite a bit with S3D enabled. :o Not sure if this is also an issue on the New 3DS, but I'm definitely playing it in 2D going forward for the smoother frame rate.

Cracking bit of software, as expected from a Kirby game. It's nuts how epic they make Kirby games feel towards the end. You know when he gets his angry eyes on that stuff is gonna go down. :D

I still maintain that TD is the better game. As I mentioned to Dazzybee earlier, this doesn't take away anything from this game. It's still well worth picking up. Its another great entry in the Kirby franchise and another great addition to the 3DS library.

You might want to spoiler that screenshot. I know I didn't want to have the unlockable modes spoiled...

Unless they're there from the start, then disregard what I said.

Apologies. I didn't think of it as a spoiler myself but I can see why others may want to keep them a secret.

Purchased :)

Good man! You'll love it no doubt!

(And then you've got an entire series to catch up on afterwards. Almost every Kirby game ever made is currently on the 3DS/Wii U eShop now ;) )

I'll be diving into Robobot myself today as well, so... woo! :D

It will be interesting to see what you think of the game and how you compare it to TD. I remember you saying that TD was fantastic but you had a few issues with it. I'm curious to see if PR is more to your liking.

Played through the first two worlds and I am loving the game. It's simple but the hats/abilities make for a nice amount of difference in the way you play. i haven't run into too much of a challenge at the moment apart from on boss when I lost my hat and had to fight normally. I can see I'm going to quite like this.

Kirby games aren't really challenging until you start delving into the extra modes and trying to nab 100%. It still doesn't make the game any less fun though. It's just pure platforming joy. :)

Found the "N-Europe" sticker: :heh:

Shame we can only use 2 stickers at a time for decorating the robobot. :hmm:

So @Dcubed and I just platinumed all the quests in Team Kirby Clash, with a little help from @Ugh first aid.

That game is great fun in multiplayer! It's like a Miniature 2D Monster Hunter, what with the different weapons heavily affecting the way your Kirby moves, attacks, supports, etc.

For example, @Ugh first aid went with Doctor Healmore, who specialises in healing, so she might have given a bit more than a little help. More like she was the glue that kept the team together. She could also attack by concocting potions, so she wasn't helpless.

In contrast, @Dcubed went with Hammer Lord, who has redonkulous strength, but moved about as fast as an actual Monster Hunter (i.e, painfully slow)

Meanwhile, I chose totally-not-generic "Sword Hero" who can protect nearby allies with his shield and can attack quickly.

If they went ahead and made an eShop version of this subgame like they did with Kirby Fighters and Drum Dash, I'd snap it up in a heartbeat. It's weird to think that a Kirby subgame has got me hungry for Monster Hunter Generations.

So yeah, I'm on world 3 and this game's awesome! All of the new abilities so far are brilliant and all feel fresh (even if Poison is blatantly based off of Water from Kirby's Adventure Wii) and the mech is a great addition that basically takes on the role that Hypernova/Super Abilities did, but in a more interesting way that is both much more useful in general use and also has you putting more thought into how to use them to find the cubes than the equivalent plot souvenirs in the past two games.

The game's pace is also nice and fast, not leaving you waiting for the game to catch up. It's like Triple Deluxe with a boost of nitro (quite literally!)

Kirby Team Clash also did a better job of hyping me up for Monster Hunter Generations than Capcom have managed so far!

Am now eagerly awaiting the inevitable Deluxe versions that will no doubt eventually appear on the eShop (we had better get them... A measly 3 stages in Kirby's 3D Rumble is pathetic!)

Playing through, I realise why the controls are so natural to me. They're essentially Smash Bros, like you said. It really is so similar.

Enjoying it so far :)

I wasn't planning on tackling any of the extra modes yet but @Glen\-i and @Dcubed spoke the words Monster Hunter and I had to check that mode out.

What a fantastic little game mode. While I don't have the luxury of playing it in co-op, I still had a great time levelling up my team and selecting the most suitable jobs.

In single player you have to earn the right to get help from other Kirbys. The further you get in, the more team mates you can recruit.

I started off using the hammer. I then made my next team mate a medic. The next two I also gave hammers. Eventually I had to switch things up as I needed to move more quickly during the later battles. I switched to a sword user, kept the medic and hammer team mates and then switched my final guy to another sword. This allowed us to move more freely and earn the platinum medals in the harder fights.

Have to agree with the rest of the sentiment on this thread. I'm now nearing the end of World 3 in this and having a brilliant time. Every level is unique, the mech mechanic feels fully fleshed out rather than an occasional flashy showpiece (like the hypernova power in Triple Deluxe) and it's one of the best uses of the 3D capabilities of the system.

Aren't you still missing a mode or something? There's still a blank space.

Yeah. Also missing....

True Arena mode. I finished the normal one yesterday but I guess you need to finish Meta Knight mode to unlock it
