Phube Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 ... and it worked!! And nicely; this was the first screen I saw (after I finally retuned my aerial): A 15 year rest!? I think that's sufficient! BTW I'm planning on eBaying it and my 3 games (Actraiser, Super MarioAllStars, and Super Mario World) in the near future. Anyone interested in buying some retro goodness just PM me!
Helmsly Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 haha Nice. I hooked up my NES around a month ago to play DuckTales. Stills works and so do all of my games, which is awesome because the console itself was bought in 1987
Guy Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 I have a load of retro systems gathering dust up in the attic at my folks' place. Definitely need to hook 'em up again soon and relive some classics as they were meant to be played.
Fierce_LiNk Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 I don't have the heart to sell my old consoles, especially the SNES. If I do have offspring/clones/cats in the future, I want to show them the stuff I grew up with. Plus, that controller is still great. My dream would be to have an arcade room in the house where you could connect up all of the consoles to either one TV or their own separate screens. Just going in there to play something like A Link To The Past without having to faff with wires and so on. Go in, insert game, turn on, play, win.

I sold a lot of my old stuff so over the past few years Ive had to buy stuff back again. Worst part was finding out which Mega Drive games I got rid of are actually rare and expensive now.
obscure Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 ...this was the first screen I saw (after I finally retuned my aerial): You need to get an RGB scart, if you can connect one to your TV. The picture should be much more clear with one. Shame the N64 doesn't support RGB though.

"Oh, it'll be worth something one day." Dammit, Mum.
