Unreal Engine 4 game Daylight announced for PlayStation 4

Zombie Studio's supernatural thriller Daylight will get a release on PlayStation 4.

The Unreal Engine 4 title was previously announced as a PC exclusive. A trailer released in March showed a woman exploring creepy surroundings armed only with the compass app on her smartphone.

The PlayStation 4 version was confirmed last night on GTTV (thanks, SixthAxis).

Much of Daylight's levels are randomly-generated, meaning you'll never face the same scares in the same places.

No release date has been mentioned, although Atlus has confirmed it will publish the title.

Glad this is coming to the PS4. It really piqued my interest when it was first announced. I can't play horror games for shit but this is kind of tempting me.

Edit:

This sounds like it could be quite funny.

A super fun feature was announced today for Daylight, a psychological thriller/horror game from Zombie Studios. It will capture the exact moment a scare happens in the game using the PS Eye camera. You can keep these photos as a novelty or if you’re brave enough share them with your friends on social networks.

Seriously though it looks rather interesting and lets face it since Resident Evil went tits up in the scare department creepy games are hard to find.

Daylight Takes PS4 Streaming Interactivity To Another Level, Has 3D Tech

http://www.worldsfactory.net/2014/02/20/daylight-april-8-3d-ps4-feature

This is a very cool feature that we’re super stoked about. It’s no secret that Daylight is extremely friendly for the PS4’s “Share” button (ditto, PC streaming). The tinkerers at Zombie Studios found a way to use Twitch chat to cue in-game events. The example we’ve been tossing around (and is in no way final) is that someone watching a stream types the word “Meow” into the chat, which causes the game to make a corresponding sound of a cat. So yes. You can literally scare your friends now by watching the stream. There are two caveats to this:

1) They’re all on timers, so you can’t spam them. That would be ridiculous.

2) We’re not going to tell you the list of words. You’re going to have to find them through experimentation.
