EEVILMURRAY Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Got round to watching this yesterday. Yep, it's still showing at our local Showcase, but Iron Man 3 isn't for some reason I found it rather entertaining. Yes although I found it odd the admiral had a model of HIS ship at the end of the table. So much for secrecy lol Did you discover that after seeing the trivia on IMDb? My main reaction was "IT'S ROBOCOP!" I thought he was dead. Zachary Quinto as Spock is what Into Darkness gets spot on. He puts in another great performance as Spock and often steals the scenes, it's a perfect piece of casting. His interactions with anyone were unrivalled and it's him along with Chris Pine's duelling friendship that keeps this film alive as there is a real love and bond between them that is actually deftly placed throughout without it getting too sickly. Poor Dr. Marcus doesn't stand a chance even in her black underwear. Quinto is hit and miss for me. He looks too smug in the majority of his scenes.
Shorty Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 That's literally exactly how Spock should look though....
EEVILMURRAY Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 I haven't seen Nimoy have a smug twat grin plastered over his face the majority of the time.
Sméagol Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 I’ve seen this today (ehh yesterday). I liked it while watching it, but in hindsight, now I think of it, there are several things I didn’t like. The most obvious one is the ending which was a bit anti-climactic in my opinion. I may comment in more detail tomorrow, off to bed now.
Ronnie Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 It was nice to see a big blockbuster that isn't a generic carbon copy of a superhero film we've seen a dozen times in the past few years.
