Dcubed Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-06-20-david-yarnton-quits-nintendo Wow! That was really sudden! He's been there for almost 20 years! Satoru Shibata (AKA, the Euro Iwata) is taking over direct control of Nintendo's UK branch until a replacement is found. Wonder what made him jump ship? Maybe his collapse during that bike race was simply too much for him and he wanted to take it easy?
Cube Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Oh no! I've never heard of him. They should give the job to Tim.
D_prOdigy Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 I'll forever refer to him in my mind as "The 'big cheese' of Nintendo UK". The man seems to personify that phrase. Best of luck to him o/
Jamba Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 It's interesting that the team behind the UK advertising campaigns and market positioning are leaving (other key members have left already). Let's hope they get replaced with new enthusiastic blood.
Cube Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Let's hope they get replaced with new enthusiastic blood. Like I said: Tim.
