Looks like we will both pass Ell, Zell and Dragooooo as they crash down to the lowers while we ascend to the middle league!

To be honest coming 4th would be perfect. Another season in the lower league to get go DVs. My DVs should be pretty good again this season. When Ell, Zell and Dragpoooooo come down I'll be stronger than them. I'll go up while they can stay down.

N-Euro Middle League Round Eight

*****Winston Gardens vs Yellow Submarine****

It’s the first time these two teams have faced each other in an official capacity but they have met before in two friendlies, the last of which saw Winston Gardens beating Submarine 4-1 at home. After 20 minutes it became apparent that things would be going that way again as Winston Gardens were already 3-0 up after scoring in the 4th, 9th and 15th minutes. Another goal came in at the 27th minute, the second goal to be scored by Maxim Herasimienia so far. In the 31st minute Seyfi Ataisik of Yellow Submarine was able to score but his efforts were in vain as Winston Gardens went further ahead in the second half. The last two goals of the game were scored in the 66th minute, a hat trick for Maxim Herasimienia, and the 72nd minute – goal scored by Archie Rosebotham.

Final score: Winston Gardens 6-1 Yellow Submarine

****The Sixty-Fourthers vs AC Elites****

The Sixty-Fourthers have been on a steady decline for most of the season but can they scrape a win out of AC Elites today? Well the first half of the game was a complete stand still as neither team created any chances but things managed to heat up a little bit in the second half. AC Elites made 2 attempts on goal in the second half and The Sixty-Fourthers made 3 but it was AC Elites who were first to score with a goal from Max Freund in the 79th minute. Despite The Sixty-Fourthers best efforts, they were unable to break Elite’s defence.

Final score: The Sixty-Fourthers 0-1 AC Elites

****Dragooooo vs Real Peeps****

This is actually the first time these teams have ever played each other and it was a fun one to watch. Dragooooo took an early lead after Milan Zoetebier scored in the 7th minute but Ernst Heinzmann of Real Peeps was not too far behind with his goal in the 13th minute levelling the scores. In the 29th minute, Allan Van N’wenhuyzen put Dragooooo back in the lead by scoring from a header after a corner. The second half was somehow even more tense as Real Peeps hit forward to make 3 more chances on goal to make up for the single attempt they had in the first half but Dragooooo also made a further 3 chances and in the 72nd minute Daan Wielink scored the final goal of the game to see Dragooooo win with a 2 goal lead.

Final score: Dragooooo 3-1 Real Peeps

****Aqui1a All Stars vs Seahawks FC****

All Stars start the game with disappointment as they are awarded a penalty in the 5th minute of play but the chance is missed by Antonio Rivas! They suffered more bad fortune in the 28th minute as Maxim Pirsa was heavily injured and had to be substituted. However, All Stars were the clear aggressors of the first half. In the second half of the game All Stars upped their game to make 6 more chances (after 4 in the first half) while Seahawks only managed 2 attempts on goal all game. In the 75th minute their hard work was rewarded and Hernán Placente got the first goal for All Stars. In the 88th minute Antonio Rivas redeemed himself by scoring another goal for All Stars and the final goal of the game.

Final score: Aqui1a All Stars 2-0 Seahawks FC

***Rising Phoenix 3-1 Leeds M.o.T***

Rising Phoenix have not lost a game so far this season but today they are facing their elite league rivals, not the usual middle league dross. In the 10th minute of play, Paul Crossley helps Rising Phoenix show Leeds M.O.T that they are still worthy of the elite league by scoring the first goal of the game. Leeds M.O.T managed to equalise in the 31st minute thanks to a goal from Edson Salomone but suffered a humiliating setback in the 39th minute as Hamit Altug scored an own goal! In the 42nd minute Cletus Sheen scored from a free kick for Rising Phoenix while Leeds M.O.T seemed to have lost their nerve. No further goals were scored in the second half but that’s possibly down to 2 of Rising Phoenix’s players being injured and substituted.

Final score: Rising Phoenix 3-1 Leeds M.O.T

Most Important Result: The Sixty-Fourthers 0-1 AC Elites, this result sends The Sixty-Fourthers crashing down into 9th place from 6th while AC Elites pick themselves up from 10th and into 8th. Also moving up are Aqui1a All Stars who move into 5th from 8th and Dragooooo relax in 6th place after rising from 9th.

Manager of the Round: Dan-Likes-Trees, Winston Gardens, while Ellmeister takes his place as manager of the X11 team after defeating a hefty opponent, the manager of the round this week goes to Dan-Likes-Trees who was the only manager to get a 5-star rating in any middle league match this round.

Best Player: Allan van N’wenhuyzen, Dragooooo, this player assisted in the first goal of the game and scored one for himself after their opponents had equalised to put Dragooooo back in the lead.

N-Euro Middle League Round Nine

****Real Peeps vs Aqui1a All Stars**

Real Peeps went into this game giving everything they had in one of their best performances in recent seasons. The goals started early with the first coming in the 4th minute scored by Bryan Tynan for Real Peeps. Another goal was scored in the 23rd minute, this time by Dominic Gilli and in the last minute of the first half, Jimmy Exton put one away to put Real Peeps 3-0 up. The second half began with an injured Real Peeps defender being subbed out but that didn’t put a stop to the goals as they just kept flying in! In the 57th minute, Dantae Servidei set Real Peeps off again with another goal with Dominic Gilli scoring again just two minutes later. Finally in the 85th minute, Redmond Phelan scored the last goal of the game for Real Peeps who win 6-0 after 10 attempts on goal compared to none at all from Aqui1a All Stars.

Final score: Real Peeps 6-0 Aqui1a All Stars

****Dragooooo vs Winston Gardens FC*****

A much closer game was played by these two teams who last faced each other in the lower league as they fought for promotion. That was 2 seasons ago now and Winston Gardens have had a full season in the middle league while Dragooooo were forced to stay back another season. The first event of the match was an injury resulting in Cris Ross of Winston Gardens having to be replaced by Jonathan Franzen. There were no goals in the first half but it wasn’t from lack of trying as Winston Gardens racked up 7 chances on goal with Dragooooo too busy defending themselves to create any of their own. Dragooooo started to hit back in the second half with 2 attempts at scoring but they were denied both times, fortunately Winston Gardens didn’t seem able to score despite multiple attempts in the second half as well as the first. Eventually, in the 78th minute, Magnus Ahnfeldt crossed the ball to teammate Bradley Thomas who was able to score from a header. The final minutes dragged on while the fans at each end watched intensely but no further goals were scored.

Final score: Dragooooo 0-1 Winston Gardens FC

****Seahawks FC vs AC Elites****

Seahawks have stayed in steady second for most of the season in possibly their best run in the Middle League in many seasons. It looks like the team might finally be ready to move up into the Elite League for the first time, but first they have to get past AC Elites who are looking to rise up themselves after starting a new team just last season. Today’s match was quite uneventful but perhaps shows us signs that Seahawks are wearing down as they should have been able to brush away AC Elites with ease. As it turns out, the newly promoted AC Elites held Seahawks to a 0-0 draw today, giving hope to Elites and maybe putting a little bit of fear into Seahawks who are now not so far away from the rest of the teams in the table.

Final score: Seahawks FC 0-0 AC Elites

***Yellow Submarine vs Leeds M.O.T***

Leeds have not suffered many losses this season but a few draws have held them down in the table, in reach of other teams hoping to surpass them. Yellow Submarine on the other hand have fallen to the depths of the relegation zone after a plucky start to the season. Today’s match started in favour of Yellow Submarine who had 5 attempts on goal in the first half compared to just one from M.O.T. Irving Beasley was first to score for Yellow Submarine in the 31st minute but before the first half was over, Edson Salomone was able to score after a freekick to see Leeds equalise. Leeds were well into their stride by the second half, cutting Submarine’s chances down to just two while they had four and in the 72nd minute Jonny Howson converted one of those chances into a goal! An away victory is great news for Leeds who remain in with a chance of promotion while Yellow Submarine are at great risk of submerging back into the lower league.

Final score: Yellow Submarine 1-2 Leeds M.O.T

**The Sixty-Fourthers vs Rising Phoenix**

The Sixyt-Fourthers will be the first to admit that they’ve had a surprisingly poor season, especially for a team that was in the elite league just last season. Rising Phoenix were demoted alongside them and have not lost a game yet! Both teams brought their A game today with the team ratings both scoring high but it seems while performance was looking good, the tactics were not so hot. Darren Bolam scored the first goal in the 17th minute for Rising Phoenix and it looked to stay that way until right in the 45th minute, Sirwan Baralla scored for The Sixty-Fourthers to put the score at 1-1. Rising Phoenix went ahead again in the 61st minute after a goal from Kaj Eklind but The Sixty-Fourthers caught them up again in the 70th minute with a goal from Evstathios Panadopolos. The Sixty-Fourthers had more chances than their opponents in the second half but they just couldn’t overtake them.

Final score: The Sixty-Fourthers 2-2 Rising Phoenix

Most Important Result: Real Peeps 6-0 Aqui1a All Stars, only a few teams actually changed positions this round, Real Peeps move up into 5th while All Stars fall to 8th causing AC Elites to move up into 7th. Everyone else kept their positions as the point difference gets even smaller.

Manager of the Round: Dan-Likes-Trees, Winston Gardens, once again Dan is the only manager to achieve a 5-star rating for his tactics this round as he takes an away victory against Dragooooo.

Best Player: Dominic Gilli, Real Peeps, Gilli scored the second goal for Real Peeps in their game against All Stars this round and went on to set up two more before scoring again himself.

N-Euro Middle League Round Ten

*****AC Elites vs Seahawks FC****

Once again another yawn-fest from AC Elites and Seahawks FC in a 0-0 tie. While there were no goals scored, AC Elites did manage to create two chances in each half of the game while Seahawks had none at all. Elites also had more possession and the better tactics which will make this draw that much more bitter as everything appeared to be in favour of them winning. The strength of Seahawk’s defence definitely kept them from losing this game.

Final score: AC Elites 0-0 Seahawks FC

****Winston Gardens FC vs Dragooooo****

Winston Gardens are on supreme form at the moment after beating Yellow Submarine and Dragooooo in the last 2 rounds while Dragooooo themselves have had mixed results. Gardens beat Dragooooo away from home this round making them clear favourites to win at home as well but Dragooooo were looking best in the first half, making two attempts on goal compared to just one from Gardens but no goals were scored. In the second half of the game Winston Gardens came into their own and Magnus Ahnfeldt started them off with a goal in the 51st minute. It took them another thirty minutes to break through Dragooooo’s defences again but once Bradley Thomas scored in the 80th minute, it opened the floodgates. Bradley Thomas scored again in the 82nd minute and Art Wilkins followed up with another goal soon after while Dragooooo were left in the dust wondering what had just happened.

Final score: Winston Gardens FC 4-0 Dragooooo

****Aqui1a All Stars vs Real Peeps****

In almost a complete reversal of the last round, All Stars thrashed Real Peeps with ease today making spectators wonder why they underperformed so much in their last game. Scott Page started things off by scoring from a freekick in the 28th minute with Antonio Rivas scoring another goal for All stars just two minutes later. In the 36th minute Scott Page scored again from another freekick. Aqui1a All Stars had 8 attempts on goal in total while Real Peeps had none. In the second half of the game, Scott Page started things off again with another freekick but was helped along by Zeke Mölleborg who put the ball in the goal. In the 62nd minute Antonio Rivas scored again for All Stars but they weren’t quite able to replicate the 6-0 defeat they suffered last round.

Final score: Aqui1a All Stars 5-0 Real Peeps

***Rising Phoenix vs The Sixty-Fourthers****

The Sixty-Fourthers had a strong showing last round, holding Rising Phoenix to a draw which surprised many as the team has been struggling to beat weaker opponents than Phoenix all season. The Sixty-Fourthers fought hard in this game, building up a good lead in the first half of the game. Salim Razzazi scored first in the 36th minute and again in the 47th putting The Sixty-Fourthers ahead by two goals, but in the 57th minute Caupolicán Candelas of Rising Phoenix scored, putting pressure on The Sixty-Fourthers to keep ahead. In the 72nd minute Stan Kingston scored another goal for Rising Phoenix to tie up the scores but just three minutes later, Sirwan Baralla put The Sixty-Fourthers back into the lead with a long range shot on goal. Not willing to give up, Rising Phoenix pushed on at their opponents and sure enough, in the 83rd minute they were rewarded with a goal by Kaj Eklind. However, Rising Phoenix were not ready to stop just yet as another draw would just be an insult to them but as the game went into injury time, it looked less likely that they’d be able to get ahead. Astoundingly, in the 91st minute Troy McNiven scored for Rising Phoenix with a header from a cross, keeping the team’s reputation in place.

Final score: Rising Phoenix 4-3 The Sixty-Fourthers

****Leeds M.O.T vs Yellow Submarine****

Yellow Submarine were determined not to lose this game after suffering defeat at home last round and a goal in the 8th minute from Jon Lilywhite showed Leeds they meant business. The match dragged on as both teams tried to gain advantage over the other with neither team losing further ground and both creating about the same amount of chances. Eventually in the 75th minute, Virgílio Regina scored for Leeds M.O.T to save them from the same fate Submarine suffered last round.

Final score: Leeds M.O.T 1-1 Yellow Submarine

Most Important Result: AC Elites 0-0 Seahawks, this result may not have changed Elite’s position in the table but it did cause Seahawks to lose ground to Winston Gardens who move into 2nd place while Seahawks slip to 3rd. All Stars move back up into 5th place this round leaving Real Peeps in 6th.

Manager of the Round: Ellmeister, AC Elites, lots of 4-star ratings this round but AC Elites were the only ones to manage 5 in their stalemate against one of the strongest teams in the division.

Best Player: Bradley Thomas, Winston Gardens FC, Bradley Thomas set up the first goal of the game in the 51st minute against Dragooooo and went on to score the next two in the 80th and 82nd minutes.

N-Euro Middle League Round Eleven

**Leeds M.O.T vs Rising Phoenix***

Rising Phoenix start the game off with an injured forward in the 7th minute which must have messed up some plans as they barely made a splash at all in this game. Rising Phoenix did have one chance in the first half but failed to score. Leeds M.O.T didn’t get an attempt on goal until the 67th minute but Mortimer Marshall made the most of it when he got it and scored! Rising Phoenix only had one other chance in this game but again, were unable to score. So Rising Phoenix somewhat anti-climactically lose their first game all season at the hands of their fellow elite league dropouts, Leeds M.O.T and for once their manager is left speechless.

Final score: Leeds M.O.T 1-0 Rising Phoenix

**** AC Elites vs The Sixty-Fourthers****

The Sixty-Fourthers picked a bad time to find their strength with their best performances of the season being in their double header against Rising Phoenix, it looks like they wore the big dogs out enough for Leeds to beat them, but have The Sixty-Fourthers got enough of that energy left to beat AC Elites today? Well it looked like AC Elites would once again be holding the tougher team to a draw as 90 minutes passed with no goals at all, despite strong play from The Sixty-Fourthers, but in the 91st minute Donald Redfearn found a way and scored for The Sixty-Fourthers!

Final score AC Elites 0-1 The Sixty-Fourthers

****Yellow Submarine vs Winston Gardens FC****

A close game today between these two teams, both of whom were promoted to the middle league after their first season in the lower league. Winston Gardens started off with a goal in the 22nd minute scored by Art Wilkins but Randall Ling wasn’t far behind with a goal for Submarine in the 37th minute. Now into their stride, Yellow Submarine went further ahead in the second half with a goal from Seyfi Ataisik in the 38th minute and Irving Beasley put yet more distance between them and their opponents with a goal in the 73rd minute. Things looked dangerous as Cris Ross looked ready to stage a comeback for Winston Gardens after he scored in the 76th minute but just two minutes later, Leopold Adler scored another goal for Yellow Submarine and Gardens knew they’d been beaten.

Final score Yellow Submarine 4-2 Winston Gardens

****Seahawks FC vs Aqui1a All Stars*****

Seahawks have been underperforming since All Stars beat them three rounds ago and AC Elites held them to two draws, while All Stars have had a mixed bag of results. The first half was a tense affair as both teams were creating a fair amount of chances on each other but Antonio Rivas was first to score for All Stars in the 35th minute. The game remained close in the second half with Seahawks creating 9 chances in total and All Stars making 8. Seahawks caught a break late in the game as Josué Mendez scored in the 68th minute, almost immediately followed by Cappi Lucci scoring in the 72nd. Seahawks were now ahead but a freekick in the 80th minute was All Stars’ saving grace as the legendary Scott Page easily scored to level the scores.

Final score Seahawks FC 2-2 Aqui1a All Stars

****Real Peeps vs Dragooooo***

Real Peeps show us again that they aren’t to be messed with at home with another strong performance, this time against Dragooooo. Derrick Birch gave Real Peeps an early lead with a goal in the 4th minute and followed this up with a goal from a freekick in the 18th minute. But it was too soon to celebrate as Thijs Feskens scored from a penalty in the 32nd minute leading up to another goal for Dragooooo in the 41st minute scored by Leonard Van Brakel. The second half began with the scores tied and Real Peeps were once again first to break the stalemate after a goal from Redmond Phelan in the 50th minute. Jimmy Exton helped them get further ahead by scoring in the 66th minute but an injury to Real Peeps’ defender, Derrick Birch in the 72nd minute looked like it would slow them down. Fortunately Real Peeps’ midfielders were playing a storm and kept the ball heading towards their opponent’s goal. Real Peeps scored again in the 78th minute, this time Cletus Blessed getting the praise and in the 90th minute Bryan Tynan scored the final goal of the game for Real Peeps.

Final score: Real Peeps 6-2 Dragooooo

Most Important Result: Yellow Submarine 4-2 Winston Gardens, lots of change in the table this round as Winston Gardens drop to 3rd after their loss and Seahawks move back into 2nd after gaining 1 point from their draw against All Stars. All Stars actually lost ground, falling into 6th while Real Peeps move back up into 5th. AC Elites fall from 7th to 9th while The Sixty-Fourthers and Yellow Submarine both move up two places into 7th and 8th, respectively.

Manager of the Round: Aqui1a, Aqui1a All Stars, Aqui1a makes it easy to hand out this award this round as the only manager to earn a 5-star rating this round, in his game away to Seahawks.

Best Player: Cletus Blessed, Real Peeps, Blessed assisted two of his teammates in scoring as well as getting his own goal against Dragooooo this round, meaning he played a part in half of the goals Real Peeps scored today.

95th minute last gasp winner to move top of the league and inflict first defeat on Recall!

Best match I have watched for ages, I set pressure, bruise and set to dominate midfield as I thought it would be my only chance. Had a really early goal disallowed but was bossing possession then broke through before half time, got another one after half time. All this time my players were earning yellow card after yellow card then my top choice goalie got injured! As pressure was on I knew the last period would herald a Recall come back and would be tense, sure enough my last gasp defending gave away a freekick in the 80th minute which was duly hit in. Recall missed a chance around 88 mins and I thought I was safe only for Recall to breakaway on the 93rd minute and score! I felt so deflated only for my score to start flashing on the 95th minute. A chance? At this stage! Burlett my 19 year old 5 skill midfielder popped out out of nowhere to score! Even when it went in I was convinced I would soon see GOAL DISALLOWED but it never came!

Thrilling match.

Fuck YES. Won 4-1 at home.

6 games to go. I think if I can win 3 more games, it might be enough for me to stay up.

The games against those at the bottom are massive.

Aqui1a at home

AC Elites away

Yellow Submarines away

Come the FUCK ON.

DRAGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Draw against Submarines. He got a goal in the 88th minute to equalise. Happy with a draw though as it keeps me from dragging to far behind those above me and keeps me ahead of those below :)

Rising Phoenix next and I'm feeling strangely confident.
