Dante Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Gematsu.com = This week’s Famitsu sees the announcement of Guild 01, a new Level-5 3DS title that includes four games in one. Suda Goichi, of Grasshopper Manufacture, Yasumi Matsuno, and Yoot Saito have teamed up for the project. The four games inside include: Kaiho Shojo: a 3D shooter from Suda Goichi. You play as a robot named “Kaihoki†and fight demon enemies. Bones is doing animation. Rental Bkiya de Omasse: an RPG developed by Japanese comedy group America Zarigani’s Yoshiyuki Hirai. You play as a weapon shop owner and create / sell weapons to adventurers. Air Porter: a simulation title from Yoot Saito. You step in the shoes of an airport baggage manager. Crimson Shroud: a dark fantasy adventure RPG from Yasumi Matsuno. Scans Kaiho Shojo Kaiho Shojo is set in Japan 100 years in the future. To stop global warming, people have started to use a new natural energy know as Shinjuu. An invading country seals off the Shinjuu source, starving Japan of its energy, the occupied the country. President Shoko, the second president of "New Japan" takes matters into her own hand. Using her Kaihoki ("Liberation Machine") Kamui, an 11 foot winged mech, she face off against the enemy. Shoko is the "shojo," or "girl" of the title. She's just a highschool student, but managed to become president anyway. Her father was the first president, but he was assassinated. We don't know too much about Kaiho Shojo's gameplay, but it is said to be a shooter. You make use of the touch pen to control the Kamui mech. Rental Bkiya de Omasse Air Porter Crimson Shroud
Ashley Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 More details from my report on it (thanks to Andrisang): Air Porter A simulation title from Yoot Saito that sees you take on the role of a baggage handler supervisor at an airport. You must ensure air planes leave on time and if you do a good enough job the airport will expand, resulting in more passengers and allowing you to purchase more planes. The top achievement you can get in this will be seeing Air Force One touch down, which is when you know you've done a good job! Crimson Shroud Not much is currently known about this title from Matsuno, famous for his work on Final Fantasy XII, but it is described as a "darkness fantasy" in which you play as a "chaser" who hunts people down. The story is believed to take place 1,000 years in the past in a world without magic, although during the game you discover how magic became commonplace. Kaiho Shojo Suda 51 is no stranger to violence and this 3D shooter looks set to continue this tradition. Set 100 years in the future this game sees you control a robot known as 'Kaihoki' (which translates to 'liberation machine') and destroy demon beasts. Humans have harvested a new natural energy called Shinjuu but an invading country has stolen the source of the energy and occupies Japan. You play as President Shoko, a school girl who became the president after her father, the elected president, was assassinated, and use your Kaihoki to defeat threats. Rental Bukiya de Omasse Taking a different perspective on the RPG genre Yoshiyuki Hirai, a Japanese comedian, is creating a title that sees you play the role of a father and son team that own a weapon shop and you must create weapons to rent out to RPG adventurers. You are in charge of choosing weapons for the heroes, which could affect their quest so you must choose wisely. With the aid of the 'Donai Natter' you are able to monitor the heroes' quests and see if you'll be getting your weapons back. Full story: http://n-europe.com/news.php?nid=16419
Tales Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Crimson Shroud and Rental looks interesting. Would buy the game for those two alone. The other two I don't care much about.
D_prOdigy Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Blimey, I was just wondering the other day (week(month)) what the hell Yoot Saito could be up to. Looks like he's decided to exist again.
Retro_Link Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 This sounds wierd! It would have been nice if the four games had connected in some way. Like in Air Porter you were responsible for everyone getting out of Japan safely or something as a 'war' kicks off, And the weapons shop creates the weapons for the other characters etc... Like you're playing an overarching game from four different peoples lives/perspectives. That would have been something new and unique. Still, some of the games sound interesting and Kaiho Shojo looks really nice!
Ashley Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 A gaming Rashomon as it were. That'd be interesting.
nekunando Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 The involvment of Suda 51 is enough to get me interested in this, even if Air Porter sounds completely unappealing to me
Retro_Link Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Hmm, fare to say I wouldn't mind if this didn't make it over here... I don't get it/not for me.
Dante Posted October 16, 2011 Author Posted October 16, 2011 How about waiting until Crimson Shroud gameplay footage is shown?
Retro_Link Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 I'm not going to buy a game designed/priced for 4 games only to play one of them. Plus if the others are anything to go by, I won't be interested in it anyway.

f00had Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 wtf this sounds crazy! The weapon shop guy sounds a lot like Recettear, a PC RPG where you play as an item merchant and sell goods to adventurers.
