-Dem0- Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 you're pretty much ready to go for DQM3 then. How many hours did you put into Joker & Joker 2?
Grazza Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 you're pretty much ready to go for DQM3 then. How many hours did you put into Joker & Joker 2? Almost 41 hours - spent ages Synthesising and adding skillsets. Now I'm going to do the post-game.
drahkon Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Day one for me. I played it to death on the Game Boy years ago. I loved every bit of it.
-Dem0- Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 That's it I'm unwrapping Joker 2 and will play the hell out of it today.
Grazza Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Cor, that looks brilliant. I notice there are four spaces now, but there are also giant monsters that take up three spaces (meaning you can have a healer + a giant).
Rummy Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 First trailer! I appear to have a huge boner that just won't go away. This is a total remake from the top down-ness! Kinda liked the retro feel of the old one, but still....this looks good.
-Dem0- Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 - fight the Golem from Dragon Quest I - take on a Killer Panther from Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride - includes a grown-up Terry from Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation - this version of Terry is paired up with Dragon Quest VI foe Dhuran Link.
Ike Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 (edited) Just me showing offposting my new DQ merch: Slime Tower, Liquid Metal Slime, Slime: Dracky, Golem, Restless Armour: They come with a card with the monsters art and stats so you can play DQ Top Trumps or something. Edit: Just found out they will release a tool which will allow you to transfer monsters from Joker 2, pretty cool. Hope they release it for us. Might be time to jump back into Joker 2. -Dem0- Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 (edited) Your a big DQ fan by the looks of it, I gotta admit they do look pretty awesome though. I think I came across a tweet today mentioning that the tool would be available on the eShop to download, allowing you to transfer monsters after completing Terry's Wonderland. - import your data from Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 and Joker 2 Professional- data import app will be added to the 3DS eShop - app will be free - due out on May 31st - to use the app you'll need to first clear Terry's Wonderland 3D - after that, import your A rank and below monsters from Joker 2/Professional - clear the game to access Ultimate Synthesis mode - this mode lets you combine like monsters to get new monsters with especially high abilities BTW is that some One Piece & Layton stuff in the background? Edited May 2, 2012 by -Dem0-
Ike Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Got the artbook preordered as well Would totally own more stuff, but shipping costs and import fees kinda prevent me from getting stuff. There's a couple of items I want but they are a bit expensive . BTW is that some One Piece & Layton stuff in the background? Yep, that's the Revoltech Professor Layton figure (did have a picture but I can't find it now :p), and a model of the Thousand Sunny Got some other One Piece stuff but they are in different parts of my room.
-Dem0- Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 - receive one mysterious egg during an event scene- acquiring eggs is one way to add rare monsters to your party - when the egg hatches you can leave the baby monster in the care of an old man who watches your monsters - get more eggs by connecting Dragon Quest Monster: Terry’s Wonderland 3D online and visiting the egg shop - uses in-game money - cheapest egg is 2,500 gold and the most expensive is 150,000 gold Siliconera
Ike Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Dragon Quest Monster Encyclopedia arrived Wasn't expecting it to be this big: Monster details: Shows a monsters appearance in all the games which is cool. Not all the monsters have that much detail though (too many :P) Just some game screenshots. Can't really tell in this photo very well (bad photo), but I like what they did with the cover:
Grazza Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Wow, that really is big! What is that Metal Slime sitting on, by the way?
-Dem0- Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 That is so cool! can you read Japanese? the covers are really nice!
Ike Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Wow, that really is big! What is that Metal Slime sitting on, by the way? They are supposed be different backdrops. I guess it's supposed to be a cave floor? That is so cool! can you read Japanese? the covers are really nice! No, but I can enjoy the artwork
Rummy Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Is there ANY sort of western news on this that anyone's aware of?
Tamazoid Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 Didn't the last Monsters game bomb horribly outside of Japan? Anyway no, there hasn't been any news pointing to a localisation.
Ike Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Well since I imported a Japanese 3DS, figure'd I need a game. Sooo... Cleared the first 2 areas. Second area had a nice throwback to Dragon Quest I. Boss room had a Princess in it and the boss was a Green Dragon. Looks a lot better on the 3DS than in screenshots, can't wait to see DQVII. Music was rather nostalgic from playing it on the GBC all those years ago.
