Razz Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 ...she says "A Soda Fairytale". That's a truth you cannot refute! Toe-may-toe, toe-mah-toe. ---- Saw her in London on Sunday night. This was particularly wonderful as there was a gigantic mechanical dragon above the stage, the theatre she played being the home of that "Wicked" musical. Apt.
Coolness Bears Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 She's a bit too main stream for me. I Lim'd. She was featured in one of the "yay Apple" promotional videos I saw today. And she says "A Soda Fairytale". That's a truth you cannot refute! Nothing suits you like a suit? ____ I like Tori Amos but then again I've only ever listened to Little Earthquakes, I think. Still 596 plays isn't too bad.
chairdriver Posted July 24, 2010 Author Posted July 24, 2010 I love! After having played myself this song, it's been in my head ever since! I just love so much. Having too much fun with the white dress and ceremonial sword.
mr_bogus Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Fire On The Side is the YKTR one for me... don't think there was ever a music video for it Audio
Paj! Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 BABY IT BURNS. Etienne is actually a good song though. I love how it's a trilogy, with two bits being the needless-yet-appreciated Skyeboat Song. Come on Scotland! I love Fayth too. HE TOOK MY SEX!
S.C.G Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Tori Amos is stunning, I love her even though I don't really 'know' her that well yet... musically speaking... I feel like a slut, but in a good way. :p There's just something about her earlier albums - pre 2000 - that just really makes you want to scream 'Yes!' when listening to her... on an mp3 player... while in a public place... or is that just me? Either way I don't really care, I just enjoy listening to her and really should indulge in her music a bit more than I already do, though I'm just glad that I've at least given all of her albums a chance but I think it'll be a while before I really feel like I 'understand' her as an artist, I look forward to getting to know her a little better though.

Razz Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Jackie's Strength makes me a bit teary I won't lie. Especially the video.
Paj! Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I've never really liked Winter that much. Just cause it's very literal in terms of what it's "about", and I can't relate at all, really.
mr_bogus Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Sweeeeeeeeeeeee-eeeeeeeeee-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet dreams...
Paj! Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Sights and sound pull me back down. Another year. I was here. I was here. Whipping past the reflecting pool, me and you, skipping school. We make it up as we go along.
Razz Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 ^ I love. This is my favourite thread. ----------------------- Can't stop, can't stop what's coming. Not even you can stop, can stop what's coming I said. Not even you, I said, can stop loving... ...and I see it coming and it's on its way.
mr_bogus Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Poll time! Favorite Tori song from a film, not on one of her albums? Feel free to add to the list, here's 3 to get it started... The Happy Worker Siren Carnival
Razz Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Hmm I'm going to go with Siren and Carnival. They're both just incredibly apt for their respective films. My third's Butterfly, even though I've never/have no desire to see Higher Learning.
Pancake Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I've only heard Carnival. But it's a shame it's not on an album, seems a waste. There are a few Tori album tracks i'd gladly swap for it.

Pancake Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I like "winter" and I think that's about it. How much have you listened to though?
mcj metroid Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 How much have you listened to though? not very much ill admit. I should probably get more into her, it's kinda the stuff I usually like
Paj! Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 My favourite really dated-sounding song. Not including all of Y Kant Tori Read.
Pancake Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 not very much ill admit. I should probably get more into her, it's kinda the stuff I usually like Yes. Do this. And then come and grovel to me and tell me how eternally thankful you are.
