Top 10 Games of Films

Recommended Posts

Hey guys. I'm in the final stages of having a film review site up and running, as part of it we're having a soundtracks and games section. But we're lacking on game reviews currently and I thought I'd kick start it off with a top 10 feature on the site with reviews of them all.

I want to use this site/thread/you people to collate the top 10. And, if people are up for it, members of this forum reviewing one of those 10 games.

But whether you're up for reviewing or not, let's get some games. I'd like to start with everyone naming every single game of a film they can think of before we do the top 10's. And system if that helps. I'll get a big list and then once we have a monster list we'll do top 10's.

I'll start with 10 I can think of:

Lawnmower MAN!!!!? Oh that game made me want to kill something! same with POD racer! good stuff though :D

by the way seriously.. Aladdin on the Megadrive/genesis was a whole lot better than the snes one.. You could actually use your sword in the megadrive version and the animation was extremely smooth on the characters.

In fact they are completely different games so it's worth listing twice.

Also Toy story for the Snes/MD( Snes one could actually do the voices so go for that)

edit: more as I remember :)

I did have Aladdin down twice originally. Then I edited with what I believe to be the best :) I'll add them both back on!

Cheers for the suggestion so far!

'Super Star Wars

Super Empire Strikes Back

Super Return of the Jedi'

If you want reviews of the above then just check past installments of VC Weekly as I believe I've reviewed all three. ;)

King Kong and the new Prince of Persia if you want more recent titles?

King Kongs a good one.

The new game isn't based on the film though and I would say it's more a film based on a game than the other way around.

seach through this guys site

http://www.videogamecritic.net/

theres bound to be some very odd ones on older systems that are good :)

Cheers for that, I'll take a gander.

I wouldn't have a problem with it, but you'd better ask Tom for permission first being that he's our overlord 'n all. :)

I remember a mission where you had to rescue dragons off a drain (when you were the dragon) and due to the really glitchy controls it was 100% impossible to complete - the move where you picked the cage holding the other dragon worked 1% of the time.
