Meet a cute girl and immediately Google her name when you get home on the off-chance she might have made a bad boyfriend choice or needed some money a few years ago.

That's what Facebook is for. (I've actually done this, just with another social site ... we ended up hooking up for a time.)

When you use the word "instance" and are accosted by images of dragonslaying and area of effect spells rather than its literal meaning.

 

When you see a pedestrian from your window and try to aim down your iron sights.

When you approach a difficult situation and think something like "If this were GTA I could steal that car, shoot that dude and make off with his money", or even better "If this were Nintendogs I would probably drive small RC Mario Karts into that dog until it left home"

At a door, and rather knocking I give my friend a call to see if he's inside.

 

When answering a phone call and it's for someone else who is not at my house, I go to notepad and type in the information for them rather then getting a pen and paper.
