CoolFunkMan Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 I'm now near stourbridge (cradley/halesowen border) although I've not been there for years. Went to a stag do there which was...poor. That's quite close to me, I live in Lye. In my hometown there's bugger all tbh. There's about 11/12 balti's on the high street (I'm not shitting you), it's a shit hole and, well... that's about it really. I'd show pics, but there's (rather unsuprisingly) no decent ones on the interwebs. I found some pictures of my city/town. It's a place that is filled with lots of different building styles, ranging from quite old to very new heh. Might make it look messy but I like it. It's a nice small city with some lovely places. =)(Sorry for the size of the pictures, they're not mine!) Two pictures of the market place. Some cafés on the market place with a view on our cathedral (yes it's small, not all cathedrals are huge =P ). Typical streets with pubs/cafés, shops etc. Most of the city itself is closed off for cars too so it's nice to walk. =) Small auto ring around the city, which has a walkway and trees going pretty much all around the city. Lovely tiny park in the middle of the city. Some more shops here and stuff; probably the newest part of town as they rebuilt it all a few years ago. Now that looks like a really nice place to live!
The Lillster Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 The Badger's Sett reminds me of being a kid' date=' I'm sure my Mom used to go there on nights out with friends leaving me with the babysitter. There were a couple of schools in Hagley, surprising considering the size of the place, I think a lot of the hot girls used to come from them... I'm from Stourbridge, an equally depressing place: The high street: [img']http://www.stourbridge.co.uk/jpg/bord2000.jpg[/img] Some people you might meet: Some things you might see: Actually this site has a few nice pics of the place, still, I'm glad I don't live there anymore. It could be worse, you could have the words 'Brierley Hill' in your address.
Dog-amoto Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Mega bump. Bolton Town Hall (looks nice, but isn't) We are proud of our heritage. One of the ten oldest pubs in the country apparently... Home of the not-quite-so-mighty Bolton Wanderers
jayseven Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Well done for resurrecting this thread It's odd living in a place that is barely a few hundred years old, then seeing a picture of a pub that claims to be nearly 800 years old!
