Dante Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 info: - pseudo-platformer - a giant tower sits in an abandoned land - control the shadow of a boy as he tries to climb the tower - walk on the shadows that platforms cast, and avoid the shadows of traps - interact with shadows to move things in the real world (pull the shadow of a lever to move the real lever) - boy has a black butterfly that aids him on his quest - butterfly can move the light source to make jumps/puzzles easier for the boy
Retro_Link Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 This looks like a fantastic new concept! Great idea for the gameplay, puzzles look good and nice art style!
Zechs Merquise Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 This sounds great - and truly innovative as well. Just the kind of game that can flourish on the Wii but would never get made on an HD console.
Bitolas Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Looks great, do you know if this is going to be retail or wiiware?
Shino Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 This looks and sounds so good. And I want to bone that fairy.
Deathjam Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 This sounds great - and truly innovative as well. Just the kind of game that can flourish on the Wii but would never get made on an HD console. Um...why? Same thing could be said about flower on the PSN...oh wait, it's on the PSN. Anyways, reminds me a bit of echo chrome which was a great game. If it has depth I may pick this up but it looks like a game that could be available via Wiiware.

Its a full retail game with Ico ideas(?)
Deathjam Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Its a full retail game with Ico ideas(?) Ah yeah I see the Ico likeness. wasn't ico incredibly short? still doesn't stop me from wanting to get it though ¬_¬
Daft Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Its a full retail game with Ico ideas(?) Isn't that what The Last Guardian is? Made for an HD console. Actually this is more directed at Zech's comment.

Deathjam Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Its a full retail game with Ico ideas(?) Oh wait? did you think I was doubting the quality of the game. If you look at my post, I emboldened the part I was questioning.
D_prOdigy Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 It was just the first line. You had a golden opportunity to be imaginative and mindblowing...
Daft Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Damn, you're right! It's late, I'm tired. That's my excuse.

I think he saw you pondering over whether it would be WiiWare or not and simply cleared it up for you, with BONUS context.
Dante Posted August 7, 2009 Author Posted August 7, 2009 Yeah and it wasnt aiming my answer straight to you also
LOLTR Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 This sounds great - and truly innovative as well. Just the kind of game that can flourish on the Wii but would never get made on an HD console. Agreed 100% Might buy this, seems pretty cool, and what the Wii was made for.
Retro_Link Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 First Trailer: Maybe I'm missing something, but how is playing as the shadow any different to playing as the person? It looks like it wouldn't really make any difference.
markderoos Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 I think it's maybe just a style they chose. Just like: "Riding a friendly dino while you're dressed up as an overweight plumber with a mustache and a hunger for sliding mushrooms and rescueing princesses" Then again, it could be that it does affect the gameplay, because shadows can change form influenced by lights or opening/closing doors etc. We'll just have to wait and see

It looks like it wouldn't really make any difference. Didn't you noticed how the world changes for the shadow depending on the light source? That can make all sorts of cool puzzles and plat forming challenges.
