Chris the great Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 i like beign the medic, just cos its easy points and people tend to love you.
Deathjam Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I like being the tech cos you can be both a kill getter and a team player, the way you can repair items around the field as well as turrets, helping the team to keep topped up with ammo or using the handily placed turrets. Sentry Turrets, when well placed will bag you loads of kills and have people inviting you to their squads and the shotgun has been my best friend in all shoot em ups.
dwarf Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Hate engineers. They have no skill and the shotgun is too easy to kill with. :OD lol I think all classes have their place at certain times. I like using all of them but I'm usually a sab or medic with boost.
Deathjam Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Used to play sab but didnt like the fact that I could not really help the team much apart from killing. C4 never used to work properly for me but that was before the patch so may try it out again. Just so used to the shotgun.
Daft Posted April 16, 2009 Author Posted April 16, 2009 I hate snipers. I play as tactician. I'd change my air support perk but I'm finding it increasingly hard to meet the requirements to change to another. It's really annoying. I wish tacticians got points for spawn points used...or something like that.
Daft Posted April 16, 2009 Author Posted April 16, 2009 http://kotaku.com/5215424/killzone-2-sells-1-million-worldwide Killzone 2 Sells 1 Million Worldwide That's a bit crap.
Dante Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 http://kotaku.com/5215424/killzone-2-sells-1-million-worldwide That's a bit crap. Folks are loling at Killzone 2 for getting beat by Halo Wars in the US March sales.
Daft Posted April 16, 2009 Author Posted April 16, 2009 Folks are loling at Killzone 2 for getting beat by Halo Wars in the US March sales. I'm not too surprised by that. Halo sells. I'm just a bit disappointed for GG. Although I do have a feeling this will be one that keeps selling for a while like MGS4. Hopefully, but who knows?!
dwarf Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I agree it is the best shooter in many ways but I still retain I've had as much joy with Resistance 2, because being particularly good at it is more rewarding. Having both though is a real plus for me, looking forward to their sequels in a couple of years time.
flameboy Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I think I was better at Resistance 2, (been back a few times since KZ2 came out and done really well) but didn't enjoy it as much.
Foxfear Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 (edited) Are there any clan battles coming up?? And how do you get the black or red around your stars? Is anyone willing to help me get some medals, some are quite hard to achieve, especially with so many players out there... Edited April 17, 2009 by Foxfear

But to be honest the playtime of people for R2 here is laughable. Excluding me no-one here even ranked up to get the invisibility berserk which is really early on. Would have loved the game to have taken off on the boards but obviously that didn't happen.
Daft Posted April 18, 2009 Author Posted April 18, 2009 I don't think I managed to join last weeks on in time. Lame.
Daft Posted April 18, 2009 Author Posted April 18, 2009 K, just sent a PM with a battle replay. Fingers crossed. I always sleep in which is a bit annoying. Or in the case of this morning, I only got back at 7 am and desperately needed sleep.
dwarf Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Can you link me to the site please Choze where I need to register? And team kills are unavoidable anyway.
dwarf Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I sent the guy a PM so should hopefully have x. What is x ?
flameboy Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Are we getting it next week aswell? Will likely pick it up but there are still some maps from the original set that I don't know that well...
dwarf Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Don't see the point in those trophies. Reminds me that I think I'm in the mood for re-doing Fallout 3 - because I'm pissed off I didnt get the trophies for it the first time round despite doing pretty much everything. Damn the patch.
dwarf Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 I'm glad it didn't happen for more than Fallout. It was lucky that when I bought Uncharted the patch came out the day before. Thing is I completed it 3 times anyway for various reasons.
dwarf Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 It's just as well I rate Fallout better than MGS4. I know you aren't a huge fan of it but I really like both, Fallout tips it though.
Chris the great Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 yeah, late trophies is a kick in the groin. im playing disagia 3 now, very aware that japan had trophies added. thank god im not playing it that often so any trophies would be realitivly easy to pick up again.
flameboy Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 P.S.: I almost forgot to mention: The patch also adds DLC support! ... So you know what that means.. Tons of money lining Guerrilla Games' pockets?!
MATtheHAT Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 I gave this another go last night, and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. Not up to CoD4 standards but still very good. Have they tweaked the controls a bit? They seemed less sluggish. I even unlocked the Medic class and earned some badges. Anyway, I'm still a n00b and don't really know the maps, but I will be on tonight if anyone wants to play.
dwarf Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 I think you need to stop comparing games with Cod. People on the Nintendo boards do it with golden eye but I think you should just treat each FPS title as a different game. Cod isn't like Killzone, or Resistance. I have respect for all three, I just like Resistance the most. The only thing is with resistance is that I haven't played it that much recently (apart from the odd hour) it's niche and not many people enjoy the more arcadey feel.
