As some of you may know I managed to break my Wii a couple of months ago - much to my own sadness!

However, I'm now in a position where I could possibly afford to replace it. Anyone know of places offering particuarly good deals? Would you risk a pre-owned Wii? Any advice appreciated!

The games I'm interested in are Guitar Hero 3, Sonic and Mario, Mario Kart, Smash.

Contact Nintendo- there's a good chance they might fix it even if it's outside your warranty. But if you got it chipped or something then there's nothing you can do.

store bought pre-owned comes with warranty, there is no risk!

+1 gamestation also can give you extended warranties (so you can get 2 years I think rather than 1?) on pre-owned consoles :) or they did last time I asked!

lol its Game's extended warranty scheme actually, Gamestation just were added to it during the acquisition.

Yes. Pre-owned extended warranty which includes all manufacturers and accidental damage (to every part; console, remote, AC adaptor etc). For the Wii its £20 for 2 years, £30 for 3 years. Obviously if you have to claim off it then you have to pay again.

Not that I had to remember the full details and beat it into my staff and give a three hour presentation on it or anything...
