Battlestar Galactica Season 4

Recommended Posts

shit I forgot they were halving it. How many in each part?

That was awesome. I've always liked the Cylon mentality- the pitfalls of perfect memory and immortality really come to the fore, especially in the scene this ep with the six. Brilliantly done.

I agree with the development of the Demetrius crew, too. Sam, Helo and Athena have all come along nicely recently. I was really skeptical about making sam a member of the five at first as he had only really been B-List untill that point. obviously, I was wrong. same goes for Tori, too. Is she being groomed for the Presidency this week? That'd be interesting, especially as she's the only one to have embraced her new identity.

I wanna see more of Tigh. His relationship with Caprica Six was an interesting development but not as interesting as Chief going a bit nuts or Tori getting in to Baltar's religion

2009? Oh why did they have to do this. The whole season is preperation for the "finale grande" and we have to wait almost a fracking year?

I didn't really like the pacing but otherwise it was pretty awesome. Especially that they fleshed out the Cylons and characters like Athena and Sam a bit more.

I've actually had the theory about the 13th tribe being Cylons during Season 2 already.

I think they should cut down on the religious part a bit. They clearly put a lot of thought into it - I'm constantly surprised about that - but sometimes it's a little too slow and destroys the pacing.

Also Centurions with free will continue to amaze me.

What I want to be the mid season finale:

One of the main characters to die right at the end, only to wake up in a resurection ship. It'd be *so* good as an introduction to who the last member of the five.

The final five cannot be ressurected.

According to the trailer for episode 7 we will learn who the final cylon is.

Why not? Did they say that in an episode?

we don't know that either way. I don't mean on a normal cylon ressurection ship, but on one controlled entirely by the five, in another fleet as it were. It stands to reason that there are multiples, built the same way.

One of the Cylons said that the final five can't ressurect and age as normal humans. Not sure, but I think it was Six talking to Baltar on a Basestar.

you sure? I can't remember that at all.

well, either way this half of the season will probably end with Dianna blowing their cover anyway.

hurm. disapointing.

I need to rewatch the entire thing. I shall do so before the 2009 ending.

God that's so far off. It's gonna be a right fucker of a wait :(

Damn that was good!

So much going on this episode, they are really getting into the roles of the characters now and it's really good to see that some of the Cylons are genuinely good. Lots going on underneath the surface and the 4 are cacking themselves so badly, constantly being put in positions where they feel nervous as hell.

Can't believe Athena capped the 6 though, massive surprise. Her model must have a fetish for assassination :S The ending was great. I'm really looking forward to seeing what all of the characters do, stuck together on a base ship with a hybrid that will tell them that Starbuck is the devil. It's going to be good to see Odama without the pres as well. I recon Lee will quickly step into being acting president as well.

Go watch it now if you haven't.

An absolutely amazing episode. Completely sucked me in and with every passing minute it got better and better.

I really liked how the Cylons developed more and more human characteristics and the whole religious and vision thing was very well implemented. Also the talk about mortality was interesting and besides that there was still so much action going on.

I can't believe Athena killed Six though. She really is trigger happy.

What kept me wondering for some reason though was: how do the Marines feel, escorting the enemy around that also happens to be the hottest woman on the fleet.

Another brilliant episode. Loads of surprises, too.

Lee Adama the new (probably temporary) president - does this mean that he'll be the vice president if Roslin returns, kicking Zarek out of the loop? Still, it wasn't that much of a surprise. As Lampkin said, He's perfect for the job.

I didn't expect for Saul to impregnate Caprica Six. I wonder what they'll do about it, especially now that Saul Tigh is now the commander of Galactica, another thing I didn't see coming at all.

Can't wait to find out what's happening on the Basestar.

I really liked how they treated the shot Six as a human being. Adama even said: "you murdered a woman."

Apart from that there was a bit too much focus on character relationships and it was clear at the beginning that Lee will become President. However it was still full of surprises, so who am I to complain?

Edit: According to epguides.com this was the last BSG Episode for now. :(

At least. IMDB has US dates for episode 9 and 10, question marks for episode 11 and 2009 for the remaining 9.

Fracking awesome. I love the episodes on the Cylon ships in general and the cooperation between Cylons and Humans made it all the more interesting. It was nice to see Roslins subconciousness talking to her, we finally got some insight into her and how she gradually became more and more of a (well the word will be censored so I don't bother writing it and instead write this much longer text about why I won't write it).

I also really liked how it was set in the same timeframe as last week's episode and somewhat connected by the dead pilot who jumped.

That scene with there Diana told Roslin she was a Cylon had me really startled. Dirty little trick they played on the audience right there.

Finally Cylons can also die. I'm really curious how much they'll talk about life and death in the upcoming episodes therefore. I proved an interesting topic so far.

Yea, that was awesome.

Three said "safe aboard Galactica"...would she really be safe. There are four people in the fleet who probably want her dead.

I also wonder if Lee will become Vice President...

I also also wonder if Baltar's discussion with the Centurion will spark a Centurion uprising...

So many unanswered stuff....and there will probably be more next episode.

I wonder if they'll tell us who the final cylon is in the next episode....or perhaps they'll build up to the big announcement and then throw the credits in, making us wait another year to find out.

Agreed. I was like "WHAT???" and then "That was fracking evil. But brilliant."

.............................

Let me just pick up my jaw...

I really did not expect it to end like that - them getting to Earth was the biggest shock ever. And we've killed ourselves with nukes.

In a way, I don't think the episode would have had as much impact if there was only one week until the next episode, and it's a brilliant change from the cliffhangers that usually happen on TV shows - we're left wondering "What now?" just like the entire human and cylon races instead of just thinking about how they could get out of the current situation (which is usually quite obvious).

The rest of the episode was amazing as well.

And the last cylon is something we need to know, too...plus we haven't heard much about the pregnant Six, the first cylon child.

"There are four in the fleet", so perhaps the last one is someone on Earth. Some people must have survived the nuclear war).

Edit: I just noticed that you see Caprica Six with Saul near the end.

That was a great mid-season ending. I expected it to end something like that, but it was still shocking.
