MATtheHAT Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Ragdoll kungfu will be mine. :awesome: I might buy that, is it a Brawl type game? *Googles some reviews*
Daft Posted April 9, 2009 Author Posted April 9, 2009 Eurogamer said it wasn't that great. I think they gave it a generous 6/10. Wouldn't mind what people here say about it.

Yeah just read the review: There's no option to add a photograph of your own face to the characters via the PS Eye and the promised online multiplayer is nowhere to be seen. Not for me then....
dwarf Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 As for me just downloaded my first 2d worms game! Yay! I don't care if the version doesn't have all the bells and whistles, I just love the franchise so looking forward to digging in. R&C for £8 is good, as is Pain for £4. I would buy Tekken for that price but it is essentially a PS2 game and I am definetly buying Tekken 6.
Daft Posted April 9, 2009 Author Posted April 9, 2009 @ Mat Yeah, the no online was a pretty stupid decision. That would have been a riot. There are a couple more free clothing items up in the mall for anyone looking to build up their wardrobe and not pay...like me.
dwarf Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Me and Cooky just had a game of Worms online. The game is brilliant, headsets are really clear and (understandably) no lag and everything is seamless. Everyone should get it here. 4 player battles will be great. It's pretty much the quality game of old, great memories, but they've freshened it up with vibrant visuals and included holy hand grenade for lols. I'd love to see the experts messing around with epic super sheep shots and ninja-rope swinging!

Worms is class, been playing it on the 360 for a while now, so can't really justify buying it again........does it have Trophy support?
dwarf Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Yeah, it has pretty much everything you want from a Worms game. Except the parachute *facepalm*. It's only a minor thing but very useful, don't know why they didn't include it. This version I guess you could justify buying because: a) it has the quality weapons like the concrete donkey, holy hand grenade, super sheep and one other I forgot. b) the trophies c) you can play us online d) it has 1080p visuals which make it look great e) they improved the physics f) people are actually playing it online

dwarf Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Hehe, you won't regret it. It is slightly different from the XB version and cooler basically. Don't worry if the start-up screen appears if it's not doing anything, also there is the occasional freeze when trying to connect to a game.
flameboy Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 I'm gonna have to buy Worms used to love Worms on the Amiga and then Worms 2 and Armageddon on the PC>
Daft Posted April 10, 2009 Author Posted April 10, 2009 http://kotaku.com/5206591/play-final-fantasy-vii-on-your-ps3-now Play Final Fantasy VII On Your PS3... Now! Or play it on your PSP, even. That is, if you have a Japanese PSN account. Today, Square Enix released Final Fantasy VII International on the PlayStation Network. Final Fantasy VII International is how Square Enix re-released the new and improved American version in Japan on the PlayStation. The International version featured improvements like on-screen arrows, an enhanced management system and an added cut scene that helped explain Cloud's past. The game is priced at ¥1,500 (US$14.93) on the PSN.
dwarf Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Have a Japanese account but never got on with the FF series. I'm not a fan of anime and found it boring.
flameboy Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 hmmm never played 7...tempting via the magic of entropay
Aimless Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 VII International doesn't have an English language option, just so you know; FFX International is the only one that does, I believe. That might seem odd, but the point of said versions was to re-release the game in Japan complete with the improvements made for the Western release and possibly a few other extras, not to genuinely appeal to an international audience. Of course it's now quite likely that we'll see the game pop up on the US and EU Stores upon Advent Children Complete's respective releases. Unless S-E have suddenly gained an allergy to free money.
Guest Jordan Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 If you really wanted to play FF7 again on your PSP, surely you would have done so already? I enjoyed Crisis Core to a degree, but FF7 is a pretty horrible game. The storyline couldn't be any more melodramatic if it tried. Then again, i'm not one for turn based RPG's.
Daft Posted April 10, 2009 Author Posted April 10, 2009 Awesome update in Home with Xi. Apparently there is a clue hidden in Arthur C Clark's short story The Sentinel. It's a short story, what 2001: Space Odyssey was based on. Plus there is a puzzle to do with the clocks in Hexopolis. There are letters where some of the numerals should be. I have an idea which I will check out in a minute. hmmm never played 7...tempting via the magic of entropay With the rate that PSOne games come out in Europe it might be worth waiting a bit.
flameboy Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Being skint and all went to check if I had any money in my PSN wallet and had £2.50 so looked what was going that cheap and picked up Piyotama. Quite a good little game, mixture of tetris and puzzle league with its own twist. Involves picking out 3 eggs either side and mixing them up to change how the eggs lay, has a great combo system as well... Lovely little chicken's popping all over the place, worth the money, I'm not trying to say its the best game ever but very enjoyable for the price and enjoyed playing it whilst sat listening to podcasts...
dwarf Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 (edited) Did the Xi maximum tilt thing, was pretty fun. Haven't really bothered trying to work the text stuff out, just getting it off Google cause I want to do the more interesting stuff. Minigame stuf was funny, not hard but pretty good Adventure place isn't working for me though. Edited April 12, 2009 by dwarf
Daft Posted April 12, 2009 Author Posted April 12, 2009 Oh, Mr Idon'tneednohelpcallingmeacheaterandsuch!! Have you done Hexopolis on extreme? The harder text adventure is a lot more fun. The first one is too easy, you can't actually lose.
ipaul Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 Just used the PSN store for the first time and downloaded Crash Bandicoot, CTR, Worms and then some Singstar songs - Rio, Gold, Hungry like the Wolf, Can't touch this and A Little Respect. I quite like Worms but I'm a bit let down by the very barebones single player mode =/
dwarf Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 (edited) Hehe I couldn't be arsed tbh. I could've been there for hours, despite knowing the answer was just click away. It's just too tempting. What do you mean text adventure? Stapler? Oh and btw I am not going to bother with this anymore because I got the 'load scene error' thing or something to that effect when trying to enter the adventure challenge in Alpha zone and apparently that is a bug which means you have to reset and do everything again I'm still keen to find out what Xi is anyway. iPaul did you just get a PS3? Anyway Worms is great online, I know what you mean about the single player, they could have made it more interesting instead of straight vs matches. I'm a massive fan of Crash as well Edited April 12, 2009 by dwarf
Daft Posted April 12, 2009 Author Posted April 12, 2009 Lame. What a load of shit. I'd be so annoyed if that happened to me....just jinxed it. In the adventure room there is an old school adventure quest which it completely text based. So you can move north, east, south, west, pick up items, talk to people...hard to explain...I'm sure there's a proper name for them. Anyways, the harder one is set in space and it is rock hard.
dwarf Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 So you aren't really controlling your Home character? There's probably some Yube video unless Sony are banning them. Did you do it by yourself?
ipaul Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 Not really but sort of =S We've had one in the house for a long time now - in fact it's one of the old ones which plays PS2 games (badly I might add). But it was always in the living room which meant I could never use it. Then we got another Blu Ray player very recently and my 360 broke around the same time so the PS3 is now hooked up to my monitor. 1080p does look very good
