Sometimes when I turn it on the icons don't show up (the ones that have the spinny circle thing when loading), and even when it does, I choose to load WipeOut and it doesn't work. Fails to load. What The Fuck...

Thats good then. I enjoyed playing through the story so it's good that u know very little, its like how was when i originally played it.

Apparently it has happened to a few people and after I searched GT forums I found the fix. have a 60gb ps3 and after i installed the 2.5 update, it would freeze at the xmb and wouldn't load anything other than the main menu items. Here's what i did to fix it My 60gb WAS locked up but i fixed it. Here's how. Hold power button on ps3 to turn it on, keep holding it until it turns itself off. THen take your hand off and then do it again. Hold it until you here the third set of beeps. Then take your hand off. It will take you to the Options screen. 1 - Restart System 2 - Restore Default Settings 3 - Restore File System 4 - Rebuild Database 5 - Restore PS3 System 6 - System Update Now here's what i did. 1. I resored Default settings...doesn't hurt anything, you'll just have to reset time, internet etc. (btw, i don't know if this helped anything but it's what i did so included it.) 2. Then when i restarted the ps3 i got a message during bootup that my file system on the harddrive was corrupt(or something) and needed to restore fily system.... so i clicked OK 3. It did it and when it rebooted i still got the same message. So I then did the process of pulling up the OPTIONS menu again and clicked RESTORE FILE SYSTEM manually. This time when the ps3 rebooted everything worked fine. I went to check and 2.50 WAS installed. So its good now. I don't know WHAT part of the process was the fix, but SOMETHING did it. You can probably just get away with resoring the file systems, but i dont know. So you can have a go

Monster Hunter Unite is to be the 1st game to use it and thats due in the Spring.
dwarf Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 The PS3 is fucked. I did that thing, had to re-enter online settings etc. But it's still acting weird. I can play games, but sometimes the icons freeze and when I try to quit a game I'm just met with a black screen. I didn't do that RESTORE FILE SYSTEM thing because I couldn't see that option and secondly I think it might erase the data I have.

I didn't get on the BETA so I'm looking forward to trying it out.
