Dante Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 Japan's Famitsu recently asked readers what they thought were the top 10 recent news events--and Peter Moore's departure from Microsoft beat out PlayStation Home. Wii Fit, though, comes out on top, overall. The overall cumulative results are not exactly surprising, but there are a few interesting tidbits: 1. Wii Fit 2. New PSP model 3. Gameplay demo of Metal Gear Solid 4 4. Upcoming software for the PlayStation 3 5. Upcoming software for the Xbox 360 6. Announcement of the Zapper for the Wii 7. Little Big Planet 8. Super Smash Bros. Brawl 9. Peter Moore leaving Microsoft to go to EA 10. PlayStation Home http://www.next-gen.biz
Maiky-NiSuTe Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 it is and stays Japans vision hehehe. but still a lot sony in the list.
Zechs Merquise Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 I can't believer anyone would be interested in the new model PSP, it's a total joke, they've hardly changed it at all. Plus I think the whole poll is a little flawed. To say to someone: are you more interested in a single game on the the Wii, or all upcoming software on PS3 is a bit silly to be honest. Also, notice the high entries of the XBOX 360 software, no one in Japan gives a toss about the 360.
Zelda_Rulez Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 Famitsu polls are usually filled in by the most hardcore gamers in Japan, that's why you see a lot of PS3 and even Xbox360 stuff in their lists.
Hero-of-Time Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 Plus I think the whole poll is a little flawed. Your telling me. Wii Fit no.1 and higher than Smash Bros is a joke.
Ashley Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 Well if you look at it as Wii Fit is new and is thus sparking people's interest more than a game (no matter how kickass it may be) that we've known about for what, 12+ months? Smash Bros will do great, but Wii Fit is new and shiny so people are interested. Plus they know very little, maybe their interest is in finding out more?
dannbrownn Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 To say to someone: are you more interested in a single game on the the Wii, or all upcoming software on PS3 is a bit silly to be honest. Indeedums! What the hell is this poll all about?!?! I find this list very odd indeed!

Although, its not very encouaging to see that they aren't looking forward to a multitude of Wii offerings like they are for PS3 and Xbox360 <-- This is the other surprise, does Xbox360 even exist in Japan
