ReZourceman Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 O m G Jusrts adi the Toa Just did JKust t Just did a Sentinel boss on X-Men. So. Epic.
DomJcg Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Hmm, i can't remember where i read this, but spider-mans gonna start to focus on norman this time, and examine how the relationship between him and spidey has changed. Although having read the latest avengers i'd say it's still a kill kill relationship.
Happenstance Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 I looking forward to X-Men forever, be interesting to see what Claremont does with it. Plus of course its the 90s costumes which I love
Happenstance Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Yay 90's costumes. But what is it? Its Chris Claremonts new X-Men bi-weekly series that pretty much carries on from where he stopped in 1991
Paj! Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 I love! I always loved the 90's X-Men. And whenever I think about writing a joke mini-series, I set it just during my favourite period in time, ignoring everything after it. Come. The. Fuck. On.
Paj! Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Yeah I went into a comic shop and bought that and the famous 80's one with Cyclops holding Dark Phoenix's "dead" body for like...£3 total. I'm sure they're worth a bit.
Happenstance Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Todays comic purchases: Gonna try and fill more of the gaps in my collection next week with another order from Reed
DomJcg Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Have you read the flash one yet? is that flash rebirth 1 or 2...? he's the freaking black flash
Happenstance Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Its Rebirth #1 and nope I havent got around to reading it yet, when did #2 come out?
ReZourceman Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Its Rebirth #1 and nope I havent got around to reading it yet, when did #2 come out? Today/this week.
Happenstance Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Ah right that explains it then, my comic book shop was getting their delivery a day late because of the bank holiday so no new comics until tomorrow
Dan_Dare Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Just grabbed Invincible Iron Man #13 today. Enjoyable as ever. I'm liking the way they're stripping the tech backwards every issue- it's quite the turn around; after intimately showing stark at the peak of his powers in the first arc of the series, the only way was down, really. The one thing I don't like is the colourists way of doing faces. The whole series has been rendered in a , generally, pretty sexy 'painted' look but when it comes to faces the technique seems to loose the finer details. Something isn't quite right when Normon Osbourne and Tony stark both look about 25.

gmac Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 got my #60 of Invincible through the post, love that cover also completed my collection of hardbacks as well
ReZourceman Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 got my #60 of Invincible through the post, love that cover also completed my collection of hardbacks as well Nice one. I finally got The Avengers FCBD, and thought it was awesome. Oliver Copiel is one of the most talented artists working right now. I'd say hes Marvels best artist in fact. The issue was awesome I felt, he draws a mean Venom, and Thor owning Normie Bitch has got some shit coming to him one day. I hope this (assumably) return of Steve Rogers stuff will spark a new Avengers book, and the proper reuint-ation of Thor, Cap and Iron Man to take down Normie and his cronies.
DomJcg Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Is it me or do other people see norman hanging around for a good year or so? Also, the guy is freaking everywhere, i love it! he's up against the x men next, he's been in deadpool, thunderbolts (duh), ff, iron man, cabal, avengers...oh and spiderman
Dan_Dare Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 well isn't his 'dark reign' shtick this year's summer hoe down? I suppose he'll be gone by the end of the season. edit: I'd like to see Stark take him down. It'd be fitting, seeing as Norman usurped him in the first place after Secret Invasion.
DomJcg Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Well, have you read the latest spider-man? looks like peter has some deeeeeeeep seated issues with him (no duh yeh?) so it's possible he could do it too.
Dan_Dare Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 I haven't followed Spiderman in ages. It would make sense though.
Happenstance Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Usually I would be right behind the idea that Spidey should be the one to take down Osborn but until hes fixed and no longer this fake Spidey then I dont care enough
