Pancake
I will post a detailed list of song recommendations in about 12 to 15 hours approx. It'll be a little biased towards female artists though (as in most songs recommendations will be from male artists)... Where's this list then Petey? I was looking forward to a detailed one. I've been, uh, 'acquiring' a lot of these songs to try out and my favourite (so far) is Toto - Africa, although it's a couple of minutes too long. Noodleman
I think the Stone Roses just about squeeze into the 80s, the first album is a classic. Anything by Talking Heads is awesome. Whilst Joy Division dont count New Order certainly do.
Paj!
The Sugarcubes are good too. But then I'm biased 'cause I love Bjork.

Their earlier output, however, far surpasses Aftrica. In Particular, Hold The Line and it's bedfellows on their self titled effort. oh yeah, and what's with nobody giving props to electro granddaddies Gary Numan and Kraftwerk? for shame!
