The fish Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 This graph shows and explains all. Err...This graph shows that CO2 causes global warming. Humans are pumping out shit-loads of CO2, and therefore are increasing the global temperature. Nice job defeating your own point, by the way... To all you who deny global warming: look at this post by Bluestar. Now is the final chance we have to save the planet. Now is not the time to fuck it up. Get with it, get real, and get greener. It's now or never. Oh, and even if all that evidence is wrong, and there is no such thing as global warming due to humans, we still need to clean up the planet. After all, it is, for us on this forum, .
Ice9 Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 If all the polar ice caps melt, this is what the UK will look like; Bottom line, there are no positive points (or at least any points are totally negated by ridiculous overpopulation).

Patch Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Err...This graph shows that CO2 causes global warming. Humans are pumping out shit-loads of CO2, and therefore are increasing the global temperature. Don't you just hate posts that begin with 'Err'? It's like a polite way of starting your post with 'Hi there, what you just said was complete bollocks...' The graph, taken by itself, shows that there is a correlation between the amount of CO2 and earth's temperature. It does not say that CO2 causes global warming, however true that may be.
weeyellowbloke Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Oh Bluestar I love you. Anyone who can't see that the climate has become vastly more temperamental and warmer over the past hundred years mst be blind. And yes this can occur naturally due to factors such as a change in the number of sun spots or change in Earth's orbit, resulting in things such as the Little Ice Age in Victorian times. The recent changes though have been far too rapid for these factors to be the cause though. Also to think that climate change will result in everywhere becoming lovely balmy tropical paradises is absurd. The Earth is an infinitly complex collection of systems ranging from ocean circulation, to sedimentation and wind patterns. The slightest change to any of these systems can cause knock on effects which can change climates everywhere. That's why so much computer power is being dedicated to running climate models at the moment, including the worlds fastest supercomputer until 2004.
