Charlie Posted May 30, 2007 Author Posted May 30, 2007 I will complain, and I'm going to get back all the money I paid for delivery, and if they don't I'll carry on complaining until I do and get a discount on the actual TV. Then I'll complain again to the courier and get something else from them. Edit - With Delivery Driver 29/05/2007 08:08:17 Delivered 30/05/2007 00:00:00 to OUT OF TIME Hmm....
ReZourceman Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Yeah their tracking system is fucking awful. I was checking all day at work, last I checked was 4:30, and no update. Attempted delivery was at 12:30. They should rename it - "Find out approximately, rough guesstimate, where your parcel may possibly be, or been, or be in the near to distant future"
Shorty Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 I have this TV btw, very nice. And it's worth pointing out that I received one (from the same order) better than the one advertised. I got one with 1200:1 and 6.5ms response time - which is a slightly updated model, at the same price. Who did you guys get delivery from? I picked the cheapest option and it came from Amtrak without problems.
Charlie Posted May 31, 2007 Author Posted May 31, 2007 The angry email paid off... They're refunding me the full amount I paid for postage.
ReZourceman Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Sweet. An angry Email I shall send too in that case. Was it the customer services one yeah?
Charlie Posted May 31, 2007 Author Posted May 31, 2007 Sweet. An angry Email I shall send too in that case. Was it the customer services one yeah? Yeah, it was. I got told by the depot that it would definitely be here by 12pm today... 2:30 and there's no sign of it, I phoned up again and it will now definitely be here by 6pm.
ReZourceman Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Christ. Really bad customer service. Ive been tracking both my parcels (TV and LEGO) all day, and no update yet.
Charlie Posted May 31, 2007 Author Posted May 31, 2007 I suppose this is the price we 'pay' for such a cheap product. I'm sure it will be worth it in the end.
ReZourceman Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Mine has. Lol, bit of a mammoth task getting the old tv out, and setting everything up but its done and Im verry happy. Great find!
Charlie Posted May 31, 2007 Author Posted May 31, 2007 It arrived at about 4:30 today, I was out, so my dad gave the delivery man a bollocking for me. It's really good, I'm really pleased with it. I got the newer version too.
Charlie Posted June 1, 2007 Author Posted June 1, 2007 1200:1 instead of 1000:1 6.5ms response time instead of 8ms.
ReZourceman Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 How would I tell if mine had those? I threw the box out by the way. Lol.
Charlie Posted June 1, 2007 Author Posted June 1, 2007 Haha, I was going to tell you to look on the box as that's where I found out. It had the specs on the box. Other than that, I don't really know. The manual is useless and pretty pathetic. The quick-setup guide has loads of mistakes in it too.
ReZourceman Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Yeah...I noticed that Lol. Like when tuning it in, for fine tuning it tells you to go to auto install instead of manual, thus ruining all previously tuned channels and making you wait another 5 minutes. Heh heh. What do the upgrades mean anyway?

ReZourceman Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 (Wanna hear something stupid...It took me about 5 times for it to tune in and retune in before I understood how it worked/what was happening) Mind you I spose the instructions didnt help greatly. But couple those with my somewhat lack of understanding technology = Instant problem. Working now thank god though.
Cube Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 (Wanna hear something stupid...It took me about 5 times for it to tune in and retune in before I understood how it worked/what was happening) I tried 10 times to tune in my TV before realising that I don't actually have an ariel. I'll get a cheap freeview box sometime.
ReZourceman Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Word. Im trying to persuade the missus' to persuade her parents to get Sky+ and Multiroom. Itd be dirt cheap split half. Win.
