Dante Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 With focus on delivering quality products to a wider audience base, Capcom has strived diligently to create innovative and exciting sequels to existing popular franchises to increase consumer opportunities and to strengthen its revenues. One of Capcom's many popular franchises, "Mega Man", which was first released in 1987, has seen numerous popular sequels and a plethora of merchandise which has established it as one of the premier franchises in all of video games. Another popular Capcom series, "Resident Evil", which effectively created the survival horror genre of games, has also established itself as a prominent world recognized franchise, with cumulative sales approaching 31 million copies sold worldwide. It is our strong belief at Capcom that providing innovative sequels to beloved franchises increases recognition of product, while also increasing customer loyalty. As always, we at Capcom will continue to strive to provide our customers with the best possible forms of innovative entertainment to increase customer satisfaction. flameboy Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 at first I read those figures as they were and I was liked somebody didn't do their maths....add the 000 and they make a whole lot of sense though!
Tellyn Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Ohhhh! I thought it meant the top selling game had only sold about 6000!
Dante Posted April 4, 2007 Author Posted April 4, 2007 Wow at Duck Tales! WTF at 116 games in the Mega Man series!
spirited away Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Wow at Duck Tales! WTF at 116 games in the Mega Man series! 116!! lol, Is there a Nintendo sales version out there?
DCK Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Wow at Duck Tales! That game was awesome Hope they release it on VC some day. Interestingly, no platinum games on the DS. And if they insist on getting one with Mega Man as always, it'll never happen.
Hero-of-Time Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 That game was awesome Hope they release it on VC some day. Agreed. I have great memories about that game. I cant believe how many Megaman games there have been but I still demand more as its one of my favourite series. Looking at that list I can see why Capcom are easily my favourite 3rd party developer.
Zechs Merquise Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Bloody hell, they've milked Mega Man a bit. No big surprise with Street Fighter 2 coming out on top.
4q2 Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Wonder why they left out Viewtiful Joe, PN03 etc from those figures..
Dante Posted April 4, 2007 Author Posted April 4, 2007 Wonder why they left out Viewtiful Joe, PN03 etc from those figures.. More will be added to the charts soon.
4q2 Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 More will be added to the charts soon. Fair play.... Interesting to see just how 'badly' the GC was doing in real terms. (Dead rising 360 1,100,000 vs RE4 GC 1,600,000)
