leofusion Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 well finally got my wii today but i have notice when walkin around in red steel the white pointer things seems very laggy does anyone else get this problem and if so is there a way to fix this? thanks in advance people!
nekunando Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 I'm probably not much help really (I don't have Red Steel) , but how far are you sitting away from the TV/Sensor Bar?
leofusion Posted December 18, 2006 Author Posted December 18, 2006 i would say around two metres away? its on the top of the tv as well it didnt work as good on the bottom
Domstercool Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 I never noticed any lag with the pointer. Hmm are you playing on 50hz? (Was playing 60hz here.)
leofusion Posted December 18, 2006 Author Posted December 18, 2006 when i set up the wii it choose 60 hz
nekunando Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 ..when you get over a certain distance away from the sensor bar, the pointer stops working really, and can kind of flash on/off and get very jumpy.. have you tried playing it with sitting a little closer? Though in fairness, it probably isn't that problem as it should work absolutely fine from 2 metres..
triforcemario Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Try turning off the sound and vibration in the Wiimote. I heard that does the trick.
leofusion Posted December 18, 2006 Author Posted December 18, 2006 would resyncing it work? coz i dont really wanna play the game wid out that sounds a rumble in the remote
nekunando Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 ..give it a go, can't harm to try it.. I hope to get Red Steel some time, so hopefully I won't experience anything similar..
leofusion Posted December 18, 2006 Author Posted December 18, 2006 well as soon as my mum has finished bowling i'll report back with my findings thanks people
fanman Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Syncing wouldn't help. I think that simply registers the controller with the console. Make sure that you are a fair bit away, and are the same distance away as when you did that bit at the start with the fish, as that is where it sets the sensitivity. If you get too close to the screen, it seems to go wierd. I haven't had any problems with it, although it can be harm to aim in heated fire.
Emasher Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 i had this problem with all games (with the pointer) and the menues. How to solve: sit on a cusion, stand up or do something else to elevate yourself so the wii-mote can directly see the sensor bar.
fanman Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Yeah, it needs to "see" the sensor bar, and it's also alot easier to sit about level with the TV, so you don't have to point the controller up the whole time, and to guarentee that it can see it.
c0Zm1c Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I get a glitch where the white dot momentarily moves to the center of the screen and back again, and in some cases I've noticed that at the same time it'll pause input from the thumbstick on the nunchuck, making movement in the game become briefly erratic. I believe it's a problem solely with Red Steel, because I've had no problems with any of my other games.
fanman Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Wait... I've had the problem with it slowing down... where it's processing it I guess... it happens quite rarely though... like on the late ps2 gamse where it was really getting pushed.
Kurtle Squad Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 All I know is that when running Red Steel my Wii makes a lot of noise at points
