Wii Freeloader in the Works

Datel is planning to release a Wii version of Freeloader, an accessory that allows you to play imported games! This is great news for those who were looking forward to region-free access on the Wii and to be able to play Japanese games that won’t see a day in the light in the Americas/Europe.

Well whilst this is all well and good, whats the betting that Nintendo bring constant firmware updates out to combat this and Datel have to update it again and again... will become a frustrating experience constantly updating it,

Well, this pretty much means I'll never be buying a PAL title again once it's released. I never used the Gamecubes Freeloader, but i really want to give it a try this time.

in theory an action replay could be developed to modify game saves directly on a pc using the memory card.

heard this last week, hope it happens and also hope it enables cube imports on pal wii. Will Nintendo change the firmware? maybe but if you got opera then it might be patchable some how.

Freeloader on the Wii was a lifesaver . Good thing that i'm going to canada next year, seeing as i might get a couple of games from there.

Is there by any chance a way for a freeloader to be developed to allow you to donwload US/Japanese VC games or am I being waaay to optimistic?
