Fierce_LiNk Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 http://www.n-europe.com/news.php?nid=9853 Did they ship less units of Zelda or something? Or is this just down to damn good advertising for WiiSports?
The3rdChildren Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 This just goes to show the attraction of non-gamers to the Wii. It's good news.
mcj metroid Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 its because they are just cheaper and plus free wii-mote with wii play.
Guest Stefkov Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 I'm not surpised really. I see Pangya golf did well. That was a nifty ploy by nintendo to not seel Wii Sports with the Wii.
mcj metroid Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 it had the worst tv ad i have ever seen so i'm not surprised lol.How embarassing for wing island
Dante Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Is only the first two days sales folks, wait for the final sales on thursday.
mcj metroid Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 wow red steel did quite well didn't it.it beat monkey ball wow
Fierce_LiNk Posted December 5, 2006 Author Posted December 5, 2006 Yeah, these are only 2 days worth of sales. There's a long way to go, yet. But, i wonder what would have happened if they didn't bundle in WiiSports with the Wii over here. Would we all go out in our thousands and purchase it like it has happened in Japan?

Dante Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Other forums are saying Nintendo are doomed because japanese people dont buy good games.
Stocka Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 But, i wonder what would have happened if they didn't bundle in WiiSports with the Wii over here. Would we all go out in our thousands and purchase it like it has happened in Japan? No, and good going too, including Wii Sports with it is the best thing they could have done.
That Guy Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 No, and good going too, including Wii Sports with it is the best thing they could have done. Totally. Japanese are totally open to games like this, whereas we wouldn't be. I have to say though, the game does just seem like a demo to the system, so I'm glad it's been included.
Spark Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 The Europeans/Americans still would have gone for Zelda I think, we love that sort of thing, for Japan it's all about the innovation so I can see why they would be willing to pay full whack for wii sports.
