I'm disappointed by the comments, 80% of them came from informed people!

Actually, its 60£, the £ its practically equal to €. That's why I (and everyone I know) buys stuff from Game UK, or other British online retailers, the ports are little more than 1€ most of the times. Again, you British have no idea how cheap games and consoles are over there. At least now anyway.

Some people seem to be "resisting" this game. Weird, because if there's a game to buy, this is the one.

Damn, mine shipped yesterday but HMV's warehouse is in a fucking island in the middle of nowhere! It doesn't even count as EU so it may get stuck in customs too! I hope its here tomorrow.

Gonna read it while listening to the music in the countdown. Edit: That was an nice audio visual experience. Nice review.

Awesome. I hope you have an equally awesome banner for the site when it comes out.

There's no longer the option at the HMV site to get it with the OST.
  11. They're dead son, you fooking killed them!
  12. I loved Mario Galaxy, but I'm not sure I want a sequel. Its a pretty unique experience and I doubt they can replicate it in fresh way again. I'd be all over it like always but they should have different priorities as to what games need to be made.

Fuuuck! Hopefully, so did mine! Man, I'd be willing the trade my free health care for an earlier release date! I believe there's lot of reviews online right now, if you want something from us, you'll have to wait a bit longer. Not that I believe the reaction will be any different.
  14. Seems they do. I also thought this was mainly targeted at a female audience (and indirectly to that male audience). Its not like we expect games or animes to have ugly females characters anyway, why would we consider this one more directed to males just because it has a harem, when in fact it is a romance drama, a genre mainly associated to women.
  15. Yeah, specially Mario Kart, its just so ahead of everything else on the Wii when it comes to online. I think its way it makes so obvious it has an online mode.
  16. I didn't even want to touch that, but I've mentioned it too before, I don't even know how some of those people got here. I mean, its normal for people to talk and share about different stuff in a community they feel part of, and some of them do come here occasionally but with many, it even amazes me how they found this place, let alone why joined it. In the largest Portuguese forum, members have to qualify themselves to access such "leisure" areas, maybe we could implement a system similar to that in which members would be required to spend a couple of months discussing in the console boards.
  17. The only problem would be if there were people with the same user name, and even if they were unique than people wouldn't have the liberty to change it any time and in Nintendo's case the worse part is how easy it would be for child molesters to spam it. But your idea is great and the Wii does have one friend code for itself that's actually useful, it could be linked to any user name (just like msn and steam do it with the emails) and all you have to do is exchange ONE friend code per console to make them "friends" (actually this solution is how I thought friend codes worked before trying them).
  18. I think there's some structural problems with this community. When I started lurking in C-E days there were a lot of more active members actually interested in Nintendo and there always seem to be new people. Then people here either left or changed their tastes and there's few of us left. I believe this is a by-product of the community tools the other consoles provide that pushed people into feeling more part of them than here, it was evident when we saw members that got introduced here, becoming a community within this one (Other Consoles), falling ever more distant from the original. I don't know how to link this comment to the topic :P but I wanted to say it, I guess we need to get some fresh blood to this forum and maybe some of the less constructive "fallen members" reached the time to leave the nest.
  19. Do we have any hope of them fixing it during the Wii's lifetime? Is it possible to do it with the current hardware?
  20. I want Steam, on my Wii. Please no gamer score, I can understand achievements as a means to get more out of the game and add SOME rivalry, but gamer score is the absolute decadence of hardcore gaming.
  21. Non of those got mainstream recognition! They're not something that made a cultural impact and appeared on sitcoms and those kind of shows. For the guys that shaped much of the industry that must be frustrating. Most are those are based on tried formulas and the ones they took more liberty in respect to design are late cube games, they probably did them already knowing of the Wii.
  22. How's that Nintendo's fault? We're here because we love Nintendo games not Capcom. Sad, yes, but I can still play my Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Smash, etc... and that's what matters to most of us.
  23. The shovelware is hardly Nintendo's fault. Nintendo's casual games at least have a high standard in production and quality. About what Miyamoto said, from what I perceived, he and the developers at Nintendo felt they had no input in much of the creative process of their games because they were pressed into following a business model base on the competitors. For them that was frustrating because they were one more in the crowd instead of having the creative freedom to develop different stuff like they do now that stands out in the mainstream media, much like what happened during NES and SNES days.
